Fitness Level: Moderate

This tour includes some moderate physical activity such as walking through national parks, exploring uneven trails (including sections in the Tsingy de Bemaraha), short hikes, and getting in and out of boats. A general level of mobility and good balance is required. While the pace is comfortable and there is plenty of downtime, travelers should be comfortable walking for up to 2–3 hours at a time and navigating natural, sometimes rugged terrain.

Please note: Some travel days include long drives on rugged roads. While remote, these regions are the highlight of Madagascar — and the journey is all part of the adventure.

Welcome to Madagascar! Upon arrival at Ivato International Airport in Antananarivo, our local representative will assist with your visa process and transfer you to your hotel. Settle in and relax after your journey. Later this evening, we come together for a group welcome dinner — the perfect chance to meet your fellow travellers and begin our adventure.

Day 2: Fri 25th Sep 2026 – Antananarivo to Andasibe (B)

After breakfast, we depart for Andasibe, travelling through the scenic eastern highlands of Madagascar. Along the way, we’ll stop at the Peyreiras Reserve in Marozevo, a private sanctuary known for its vibrant collection of chameleons, geckos, and frogs. Arriving in Andasibe later this afternoon, we’ll check in and enjoy some time to relax before heading out on an evening walk through the forest — a chance to spot some of Madagascar’s fascinating nocturnal creatures.

Day 3: Sat 26th Sep 2026 – Exploring Andasibe (B, D)

This morning we set off to explore the lush rainforest of Analamazaotra National Park, home to the famous Indri Indri — Madagascar’s largest lemur, known for its haunting, echoing call. As we walk through the misty forest, keep your eyes open for other endemic species of flora and fauna found only in this part of the world.

In the afternoon, we visit the Vakona Private Reserve where we may encounter more lemurs and other native animals in a natural and relaxed setting. The rest of the evening is yours to unwind and take in the forest surroundings.

Day 4: Sun 27th Sep 2026 – Andasibe to Antananarivo (B, D)

After breakfast, we begin our journey back to Antananarivo, enjoying the scenic drive through Madagascar’s eastern highlands. We’ll stop once again at the Peyreiras Reserve, offering another chance to admire Madagascar’s fascinating reptiles and amphibians up close.

Arriving in the capital by late afternoon, the rest of the day is at leisure before dinner.

Day 5: Mon 28th Sep 2026 – Antananarivo to Morondava (B, D)

This morning, we head to the airport for our flight to the west coast town of Morondava. Upon arrival, we’ll transfer to our hotel, where the afternoon is yours to relax and soak in the coastal atmosphere.

Morondava is known for its laid-back charm and as the gateway to some of Madagascar’s most iconic landscapes — the adventure continues tomorrow.

Day 6: Tue 29th Sep 2026 – Morondava to Bekopaka (B, D)

Today we set off early for a full day’s journey north to Bekopaka, the gateway to the Tsingy de Bemaraha National Park. The drive is long and adventurous, taking us along rugged roads and across the Tsiribihina River by local ferry. Along the way, we’ll pass through remote villages and dramatic scenery, offering a glimpse into rural Malagasy life.

We arrive in Bekopaka by late afternoon and settle into our lodge, surrounded by the wild landscapes we’ll begin exploring tomorrow.

Day 7: Wed 30th Sep 2026 – Tsingy de Bemaraha National Park (B, D)

Today is a true highlight of the journey as we explore the remarkable Tsingy de Bemaraha National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We begin with a guided walk through the Great Tsingy, where dramatic limestone formations rise in razor-sharp spires, forming a natural labyrinth unlike anywhere else on Earth.

In the afternoon, we visit the smaller but equally fascinating Little Tsingy, featuring narrow canyons, lush pockets of vegetation, and lookout points with breathtaking views. A day of discovery, nature, and a bit of adventure.

Day 8: Thu 1st Oct 2026 – Bekopaka to Morondava & Baobab Avenue (B, D)

We depart early this morning for the return journey to Morondava, retracing our route along rugged tracks and river crossings.

As the day winds down, we make a special stop at the iconic Avenue of the Baobabs — one of Madagascar’s most photographed and breathtaking sights. We’ll arrive in time to witness the surreal silhouettes of the towering baobabs at sunset — a magical experience and a photographer’s dream.

Day 9: Fri 2nd Oct 2026 – Morondava to Antananarivo (B, D)

After breakfast, we transfer to Morondava Airport for our flight back to Antananarivo. Upon arrival, we return to our hotel in the capital with the afternoon at leisure to relax or take a stroll nearby.

It’s a great chance to recharge after our adventure through the west and look ahead to the tropical island experiences coming up next.

Day 10: Sat 3rd Oct 2026 – Antananarivo to Nosy Be (B, D)

This morning we return to the airport for our flight north to the beautiful island of Nosy Be. Known as the “Perfume Island” for its fragrant ylang-ylang plantations and lush vegetation, Nosy Be offers a tropical change of pace.

Upon arrival, we transfer to our beachfront accommodation and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. Take a swim, stroll along the sand, or simply relax and take in the warm coastal air.

Day 11: Sun 4th Oct 2026 – Discover Nosy Be Island (B, L, D)

Today we set out to explore the highlights of Nosy Be. We’ll travel across the island to discover its scenic coastlines, charming villages, and rich cultural heritage. Enjoy lunch at one of the island’s most picturesque beaches, Andilana, followed by a visit to Mont Passot — the highest point on the island — where you can take in panoramic views of crater lakes and the surrounding archipelago at sunset.

Day 12: Mon 5th Oct 2026 – Nosy Komba & Nosy Tanikely Marine Reserve (B, L, D)

This morning we head to the port and board a boat for a full-day island-hopping adventure. Our first stop is Nosy Komba, a volcanic island known for its traditional villages and curious black lemurs. After exploring the island, we continue to Nosy Tanikely Marine Reserve — a paradise for snorkelling, with vibrant coral reefs and colourful marine life.

After a relaxing afternoon in the turquoise waters, we return to Nosy Be.

Day 13: Tue 6th Oct 2026 – Nosy Iranja Day Trip (B, L, D)

Today we visit one of Madagascar’s most stunning island gems — Nosy Iranja. Made up of two small islands joined by a shimmering white sandbank, this postcard-perfect destination is ideal for swimming, relaxing, and soaking up the natural beauty.

We’ll enjoy lunch on the island and take time to explore or simply unwind by the sea before returning to Nosy Be in the late afternoon.

Day 14: Wed 7th Oct 2026 – Nosy Be to Antananarivo (B, D)

This morning we say goodbye to the islands and transfer to the airport for our return flight to Antananarivo. Upon arrival in the capital, we’ll transfer to our hotel for a final night in Madagascar. Enjoy a relaxing evening and reflect on the incredible experiences shared throughout the journey.

Day 15: Thu 8th Oct 2026 – Departure from Antananarivo (B)

After breakfast, we enjoy a short visit to Antananarivo’s local artisan market — a great opportunity for any last-minute souvenir shopping. Later, we transfer to Ivato International Airport for your onward flight.

As we say farewell, we leave with unforgettable memories, new friendships, and a deep connection to Madagascar’s wild and wonderful landscapes.

Terms and Conditions of booking

Please take the time to read and understand the booking terms and conditions prior to booking a trip with us.

Deposits and Payment Schedule

To join any of our captivating Luxury Women’s Tours (LWT) itineraries, a per-person deposit, tailored to your selected trip, is required to confirm and secure your reservation.

The final balance payment must be settled 90 days before your journey begins. If you book within this 90-day window, the full amount becomes due at the time of booking.

In case of cancellation more than 90 days prior to the trip’s start, a full refund is granted, with deductions for non-refundable supplier deposits and non-refundable flight expenses.

For cancellations made between 90 and 60 days before the trip starts, your land component deposits become non-refundable, while all other payments are refunded, with non-refundable supplier or flight charges deducted.

Cancellations occurring 59 days or fewer before the trip starts result in all land tour component payments, including the deposit, being non-refundable.

All flights are subject to airline terms and conditions.

Pricing

Published trip prices include all applicable taxes and are based on shared occupancy. Solo travelers are thoughtfully matched with roommates to avoid additional single supplement fees. Single supplements are available with a surcharge, subject to availability.

Please note that LWT is not responsible for fees related to currency exchange or charges imposed by your credit card company or bank for foreign currency transactions.

All Flight Booking Conditions

Be aware that terms, conditions, and cancellation fees imposed by flight carriers are applicable in accordance with the airline’s policies.

Cancellation by the Client

In case a Client needs to cancel their reservation, we request written notification sent to jamie@luxurywomenstours.com.au.

Upon receiving written confirmation of cancellation from LWT, your reserved spot on the trip will be released, and rebooking availability is not guaranteed.

Refund terms for client-initiated cancellations are as follows:

  • Over 90 days before the trip’s start: Full refund, with deductions for non-refundable supplier deposits and non-refundable flight expenses.
  • Cancellation between 90 and 60 days before the trip’s start: Land component deposits become non-refundable, with all other payments refunded, minus non-refundable supplier or flight charges.
  • Cancellations occurring 59 days or fewer before the trip starts result in all land tour component payments, including the deposit, being non-refundable.
  • All flights are subject to airline terms and conditions.

Cancellation of a Tour by Luxury Women’s Tours

Our trips are confirmed to depart with a minimum group size booked. LWT reserves the right to cancel any trip for any reason, though cancellations less than 60 days before departure are rare, except for Force Majeure or unforeseen circumstances beyond LWT’s control.

If LWT cancels a tour before the agreed departure date for reasons other than Force Majeure or the fault of the Client, you have the following options:

  • Choose a substitute tour of equivalent or higher price, paying the difference.
  • Opt for a substitute tour of lower price, receiving the difference in price as a refund.
  • Receive a full refund of all monies paid under the contract.

LWT is not responsible for incidental expenses or consequential losses incurred by the Client, such as visa fees, vaccinations, non-refundable flights or rail tickets, non-refundable parking, loss of earnings, or loss of enjoyment.
