Welcome to Slovenia. Today we arrive in Ljubljana and transfer to our centrally located hotel. After checking in and settling into our rooms, we’ll meet as a group for our first evening together.
Tonight, we’ll enjoy a welcome dinner at a local restaurant, a great opportunity to get to know each other and meet our guide. After dinner, we’ll take a relaxing boat ride along the Ljubljanica River to see the city from a different perspective.

This morning, we set out on a guided walking tour of Ljubljana. Together, we’ll explore the city’s charming Old Town, admire its bridges, squares, and lively markets, and take the funicular up to Ljubljana Castle for panoramic views across the city.
After some time to enjoy the surroundings, we travel to the remarkable Postojna Cave system. Here we’ll join a specialist cave guide and explore one of Europe’s most famous karst formations, known for its vast chambers and impressive stalactites.
We’ll enjoy lunch at the well-known Jama Restaurant near the cave before returning to Ljubljana for a relaxed evening.

This morning, we depart Ljubljana and make our way to the picturesque Bled region, known for its alpine scenery and peaceful lakeside atmosphere. Our local guide will accompany us throughout the day, sharing insights into the history, traditions, and culture of this beloved Slovenian destination.
We begin with a visit to Bled Castle, the oldest castle in Slovenia. Set high on a clifftop overlooking the lake, the castle offers outstanding views of the surrounding mountains, forests, and the iconic island below. Inside, we’ll explore the museum exhibits, castle courtyard, viewing terraces, and learn about the region’s medieval past.
From here, we head to the lakeshore where we board a traditional pletna boat. These handcrafted wooden vessels have been operated by local families for generations, and the short, peaceful journey gives us time to enjoy the clear water and impressive scenery from a new perspective.
Once back on shore, we make our way to Kavarna Park Bled, a lakeside café well known for creating the original Bled cream cake. We’ll enjoy lunch here, along with the chance to try their famous dessert if you wish.
After lunch, there will be time to stroll along part of the lake promenade, browse the nearby shops, or simply relax and take in the serene alpine surroundings before we return to Ljubljana in the late afternoon.
The remainder of the day is at leisure.

After breakfast, we farewell Ljubljana and begin our journey east toward Croatia. Today combines scenic driving, regional culture, and one of the most impressive castles in the Balkans.
We start with a stop in Maribor, Slovenia’s second-largest city and home to the world’s oldest grapevine. Here, we enjoy a relaxed visit and take in the views of the Drava River before continuing to a nearby winery in the countryside. At Horvat Winery, we’ll enjoy a regional lunch featuring local flavours and traditional hospitality.
Following lunch, we cross into Croatia and continue to Trakošćan Castle, one of Croatia’s most picturesque landmarks. Set on a hill beside a tranquil lake, this beautifully preserved 13th-century fortress offers a glimpse into aristocratic life. Inside, we’ll explore the grand rooms, period furnishings, artwork, and armoury while learning about the noble families who once lived here.
From Trakošćan, we continue onward to Zagreb, Croatia’s vibrant capital city. Upon arrival, we check into our centrally located hotel and have some time to settle in. The evening is at leisure to explore the nearby cafés, restaurants, and beautifully lit streets of the Upper and Lower Towns.

Today we explore Zagreb, a city known for its lively markets, elegant architecture, and blend of Austro-Hungarian and Balkan influences. We begin with a guided walking tour of Zagreb, covering both the historic Upper Town and the energetic Lower Town. Together, we’ll visit key landmarks such as Ban Jelačić Square, the colourful Dolac Market, the Cathedral, and the cobblestone streets of Gradec. We’ll also take a short funicular ride, one of the world’s shortest, connecting the two main areas of the city.
Our guide will share stories about Zagreb’s history, traditions, and everyday life, creating a great introduction to Croatia’s capital.
In the afternoon, we travel into the rolling hills of the Plešivica wine region, often called “Croatia’s Champagne Valley.” This area is known for its boutique family-run wineries and impressive sparkling wines. We’ll enjoy a guided wine tasting at one of the region’s well-regarded estates, learning about local grape varieties and small-batch production.
A relaxed dinner at the winery follows, offering a chance to experience local hospitality and regional cuisine in a scenic countryside setting.
We return to Zagreb in the evening.

This morning, we depart Zagreb and make our way south toward one of Croatia’s greatest natural treasures: Plitvice Lakes National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage-listed site known for its cascading turquoise lakes and wooden boardwalk pathways.
Upon arrival, we meet our local guide for a walking tour of Plitvice Lakes. Together, we follow a well-designed route through the lower and upper lakes, taking in the waterfalls, clear pools, and lush forest scenery. The boardwalks and viewpoints allow us to experience the park at a comfortable pace, with plenty of opportunities for photos and time to enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
Following our visit, we enjoy lunch at Lička Kuća, a traditional-style restaurant located just outside the park. Here we’ll sample regional specialities from the Lika region, known for its rustic and hearty cuisine.
After lunch, we continue our journey toward the Dalmatian coast. The landscape gradually changes as we descend from the mountains and approach the Adriatic Sea, arriving into Split by late afternoon.
Upon arrival, we check into our hotel and have the evening at leisure to relax or begin exploring Split’s waterfront promenade and historic Old Town at your own pace.

This morning, we set out on a guided walking tour of Split, one of Croatia’s most fascinating coastal cities. Our tour begins inside the remarkable Diocletian’s Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the best-preserved Roman royal residences in the world. With our local guide, we’ll explore the narrow laneways, hidden courtyards, and historic squares that now form the heart of Split’s Old Town.
Key highlights include the Peristyle, the Cathedral of Saint Domnius, the palace cellars, and the beautifully preserved Roman architecture that blends seamlessly with everyday life. We will also enjoy peaceful moments along Split’s lively Riva promenade.
Entrance to the Diocletian Cellars is included, offering an atmospheric look into the original substructures of the emperor’s palace.
After the tour, the rest of the day is free to enjoy Split at your own pace. You may wish to relax by the waterfront, wander through local shops and cafés, visit a nearby beach, or continue exploring more of the Old Town’s winding streets.

Today we enjoy a full-day excursion to the beautiful island of Hvar, known for its clear waters, lavender fields, historic harbour, and relaxed Mediterranean atmosphere.
We begin the morning by boarding the catamaran from Split to Hvar, a scenic journey across the Adriatic. Upon arrival, we meet our local guide and set out on a walking tour of Hvar Town, exploring its elegant stone streets, Venetian architecture, lively harbour, and charming squares. Highlights include the Arsenal building, the historic theatre, and views of the Spanish Fortress that watches over the town.
As we explore, our guide will share stories about Hvar’s rich maritime history, cultural traditions, and its long-standing reputation as one of Croatia’s most beautiful islands.
Late morning, we travel to the Hora Estate, a family-run property set among vineyards and ancient fields listed as a UNESCO site. Here, we enjoy a relaxed lunch featuring local produce, often including olive oil, fresh vegetables, homemade bread, and regional wines.
The peaceful rural setting offers a lovely contrast to the harbour town and gives us a deeper appreciation for island life.
After lunch, we return to Hvar Town, where you’ll have a little free time before boarding the catamaran back to Split.
We arrive back in Split in the late afternoon, with the evening at leisure.

This morning, we depart Split and travel inland toward Mostar, one of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s most culturally significant cities. The drive offers changing landscapes, moving from the Adriatic coast into mountainous countryside before crossing the border.
On arrival in Mostar, we meet our local guide for a walking tour of the Old Town, a place shaped by centuries of Ottoman, Austro-Hungarian, and Balkan influence. Together we explore the cobblestone streets, traditional artisan shops, and historic stone houses that make this city so distinctive.
A highlight of the tour is the iconic Stari Most (Old Bridge), a UNESCO World Heritage site and a symbol of Mostar’s resilience. We then visit the beautifully preserved Turkish House, offering insight into traditional life under Ottoman rule.
Following the tour, we enjoy lunch at Restaurant Del Rio, located along the river and known for its warm hospitality and regional dishes.
After lunch, we check into our hotel and have the remainder of the afternoon and evening at leisure. You may wish to wander the Old Town further, visit local craft stalls, or relax with a coffee overlooking the river.

This morning, we leave Mostar and travel toward Sarajevo, a city known for its rich cultural heritage and complex modern history. The journey takes us through scenic mountain valleys and small rural towns, giving us a deeper sense of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s landscape.
On arrival in Sarajevo, we join our local guide for a walking tour of the historic centre. Together we explore Baščaršija, the Old Bazaar, a lively area filled with traditional craft shops, coffee houses, and Ottoman-era architecture. Highlights include the Sebilj Fountain, Gazi Husrev-beg Mosque courtyard, and the blend of Eastern and Western influences visible throughout the city.
We then visit one of the most important historical sites in the region—the Tunnel of Hope Museum. This tunnel played a critical role during the Siege of Sarajevo in the 1990s, providing the only lifeline for food, supplies, and communication. Our visit includes a guided explanation of the tunnel’s significance, exhibits showing life during the siege, and firsthand insights into the city’s struggle and resilience.
For lunch, we dine at Restaurant Dveri, a local favourite well known for its authentic Bosnian dishes and cosy atmosphere.
Following lunch, we check into our hotel with the remainder of the afternoon and evening free to relax or explore more of Sarajevo at your own pace.

This morning, we continue our exploration of Sarajevo with a visit to Trebević Mountain, one of the city’s most recognisable natural landmarks. We begin by taking the Trebević Cable Car, a modern gondola that carries us from the edge of the Old Town up to the mountain ridge. The ride offers outstanding views over Sarajevo, providing a meaningful perspective of the city’s layout, surrounding hills, and wartime history.
At the top, we’ll have time to enjoy the panoramic lookout areas, walk around the mountain paths, and learn about Trebević’s significance both as a local recreational area and as a frontline position during the siege. The combination of natural beauty and historical context makes this one of the most memorable experiences in Sarajevo.
We return to the city with free time in the afternoon. You may wish to visit one of Sarajevo’s museums, explore more of the bazaar, or simply enjoy a traditional Bosnian coffee in one of the atmospheric cafés.
This evening, we come together again for a group dinner at 4 Sobe Gospođe Safije, one of Sarajevo’s most elegant restaurants. Set in a beautifully restored historic building, the restaurant offers refined local cuisine and a warm, intimate atmosphere—an ideal setting to reflect on our time in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

After breakfast, we check out and begin our journey south toward Montenegro. Today is a scenic travel day filled with dramatic landscapes, historic towns, and local culture.
We first travel through the mountainous region surrounding Tjentište, an area known for its deep valleys, national parks, and significant WWII history. As we pass through this region, our guide will share insight into the area’s past and the role it played in Yugoslav history. The drive itself is incredibly picturesque, with panoramic views, winding mountain roads, and untouched natural scenery.
Continuing onwards, we arrive in Trebinje, a charming town in the southernmost part of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Trebinje is well-loved for its relaxed atmosphere, old stone streets, and vineyards. Here we enjoy a guided walking tour, exploring the historic centre, shaded squares, old Ottoman bridges, and riverside areas that make this town one of the most beautiful in the region.
For lunch, we dine at Stara Herzegovina, a traditional restaurant offering hearty regional cuisine. This is a great opportunity to experience the authentic flavours of Herzegovina before crossing the border into Montenegro.
After lunch, we continue our drive into Tivat, located on the stunning Bay of Kotor. Upon arrival, we check into our hotel and settle in. The remainder of the day is free to relax, unwind, or take a gentle stroll along the waterfront of Porto Montenegro, one of the most elegant marina areas in the Adriatic.

Today we set out to explore some of Montenegro’s most iconic and historic locations on a full-day guided tour. With its dramatic mountains, coastal towns, and deep cultural roots, this region offers a wonderful blend of scenery and heritage.
We begin by travelling inland toward the traditional village of Njeguši, located high in the Lovćen mountains. This small village is famous for its long-standing culinary traditions, particularly its smoked ham and cheeses. Here we enjoy a hearty local snack, giving us a genuine taste of Montenegrin rural life.
Afterwards, we continue to the historic town square of Cetinje, once the royal capital of Montenegro. Our guide will introduce us to the key landmarks, including the former royal palace and important cultural buildings that shaped the identity of the Montenegrin state.
We then travel to Bar, a coastal town known for its blend of ancient and modern influences. A highlight of our visit is the King Nikola’s Museum, located inside the former royal residence of the Petrovic dynasty. The museum showcases personal items, furniture, and historical artefacts that help tell the story of Montenegro’s last royal family.
Throughout the day, our local guide provides context and stories that bring each destination to life. Along the way, we enjoy remarkable views over the Adriatic and the mountainous landscape that makes Montenegro so unique.
We return to Tivat in the late afternoon, with the evening at leisure to enjoy the marina area or relax at the hotel.

Today we explore the breathtaking Bay of Kotor, one of Montenegro’s most spectacular natural and cultural regions. With its dramatic fjord-like landscape, medieval towns, and serene blue waters, this area is often considered the jewel of the Adriatic.
We begin by travelling along the bay to the charming coastal town of Perast, known for its baroque architecture and peaceful waterfront. From here, we take a short boat ride to the tiny islet of Our Lady of the Rocks, home to a beautifully preserved church filled with historic paintings, silverwork, and maritime artefacts. Our guide will explain the fascinating legend behind the island’s creation and its significance for local sailors.
Returning to Perast, we continue our exploration of the bay before travelling onwards to Savina Winery, one of the most picturesque wine estates in the region. Surrounded by vineyards and overlooking the Adriatic Sea, the setting is both peaceful and memorable.
Here we enjoy a guided wine tasting, sampling a selection of local varietals paired with homemade canapés. This experience offers an authentic look into Montenegro’s growing wine culture, which blends centuries-old tradition with modern techniques.
After our visit, we return to Tivat in the late afternoon. The evening is at leisure to enjoy the marina, relax at the hotel, or dine at one of the many waterfront restaurants.

Credit may be transferred to another woman. You may find another woman to take your spot. She pays you directly for the deposit and assumes responsibility for any outstanding balance payments. The replacement participant must meet trip registration requirements and be approved to join the trip by LWT.
Credits may be used towards the final balance of another trip, applied at 90 days in advance of the trip start date. Credit may be transferred to any other trip, and you may cancel and reapply your credit as many times as you like, before 90 days in advance of the trip date, within the original credit expiry date.

CANCELLATION OF A TOUR BY LUXURY WOMEN’S TOURS
Our trips are confirmed to depart when they have a minimum group size booked. LWT reserves the right to cancel any trip for any reason, but will rarely cancel a tour less than 60 days before departure except for Force Majeure, unusual or unforeseen circumstances outside LWTs control.
When a tour is cancelled by LWT before the agreed date of departure for any reason other than Force Majeure or the fault of the Client, the Client can either:
- Take a substitute tour of equivalent or higher price if LWT is able and willing to offer such a substitute and pay any difference in price between the price of the tour originally purchased and that of the superior substitute tour; or
- Take a substitute tour of lower price if LWT is able and willing to offer one and to recover from LWT the difference in price between the tour originally purchased and that of the substitute tour; or
- Receive a full refund of all monies paid under the contract as soon as possible.
LWT is not responsible for any incidental expenses or consequential losses that the Client may have incurred as a result of the booking such as visas, vaccinations, non-refundable flights or rail, non-refundable car parking or other fees, loss of earnings, or loss of enjoyment, etc.
If the Client is offered a refund but requests an alternative tour of a higher value than that originally booked, then the Client must pay the difference in price.
Where, after departure, a significant element of the trip contracted for cannot be provided, LWT will make suitable alternative arrangements for the continuation of the trip.
