Arctic Icons: An Unforgettable Journey Through Iceland & Greenland
This extraordinary Arctic journey combines the dramatic landscapes of Iceland with the raw, untamed beauty of Greenland. Beginning in Reykjavík, we explore Iceland’s most iconic regions — from geothermal lagoons and volcanic craters to thundering waterfalls, black sand beaches, glaciers, and ice caves. Travel along the Snæfellsnes Peninsula and the South Coast, soak in renowned geothermal baths, and experience Iceland’s striking contrasts of fire and ice.
The adventure continues in Greenland, flying north to Ilulissat on Disko Bay — home to one of the most active ice fjords in the world. Witness colossal icebergs calving from glaciers, enjoy breathtaking coastal scenery, and experience Greenland’s powerful sense of remoteness and wonder.
We conclude back in Iceland with a relaxing overnight stay near Keflavík Airport, allowing for a smooth and comfortable departure after an unforgettable journey to the edge of the Arctic.

The walk also provides insight into the city’s history, neighbourhoods, and everyday life.
In the afternoon, we travel by private transfer to Sky Lagoon, a modern geothermal spa located just outside the city. Here, we have time to relax in the warm mineral-rich waters and follow the seven-step Gelmir Ritual, which includes a sauna, steam room, and cold plunge, all designed to promote relaxation and wellbeing.
After returning to the hotel, the evening is free to enjoy Reykjavík at your own pace, with a wide range of dining options within walking distance.

Our first stop is Þingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates meet, offering both geological significance and historic importance as the site of Iceland’s first parliament.
We continue to the Geysir Geothermal Area, home to bubbling hot springs and the active Strokkur geyser, which erupts regularly throughout the day. From here, we travel on to Gullfoss Waterfall, one of Iceland’s most powerful and impressive natural landmarks.
Later, we visit Friðheimar Greenhouse and Icelandic horse stables. Here we learn about sustainable greenhouse farming in Iceland, tour the facilities, and enjoy a tomato-based lunch sourced directly from the greenhouse. We also observe Icelandic horses at the stables and gain insight into their unique characteristics.
Before returning to Reykjavík, we stop at Kerið Volcanic Crater, where a walking path allows us to view the crater and its striking turquoise lake from above.

The lagoon’s constantly changing ice formations and colours offer a striking example of Iceland’s glacial environment.
Adjacent to the lagoon is Diamond Beach, where pieces of ice wash ashore onto black volcanic sand, creating a dramatic contrast and a unique photographic setting. We have time to walk along the beach and take in the surrounding scenery.
The remainder of the afternoon is spent at a relaxed pace, allowing time to enjoy the natural surroundings or simply take in the views near the glacier lagoon before returning to our hotel.
