This tour is suitable for women with a moderate level of fitness who are comfortable being active for several hours throughout the day. While there is no strenuous hiking involved, some days include extended sightseeing, uneven terrain and getting in and out of safari vehicles.

To fully enjoy this journey, guests should be able to:

  • Walk comfortably for 2–4 hours over the course of a day, with regular breaks.
  • Walk on uneven surfaces, including dirt tracks, gravel paths, rocky viewpoints and natural bush terrain.
  • Navigate stairs, inclines and occasional steep pathways without assistance.
  • Climb in and out of 4WD safari vehicles, which require stepping up using vehicle steps and handholds.
  • Sit comfortably during longer game drives, some lasting 3–4 hours at a time with wildlife viewing stops.
  • Board and disembark safari boats and river cruises with minimal assistance.
  • Manage their own luggage through airports and hotel check-ins (porters are available at most properties).
  • Tolerate warm daytime temperatures, particularly during safari activities.

This itinerary is well paced and includes free time to relax between activities, however some days involve early morning starts and full days of sightseeing.

Welcome to South Africa!

Upon arrival at Cape Town International Airport, you’ll be met by our local representative and transferred to our beautifully located hotel on the vibrant Victoria & Alfred Waterfront.

The remainder of the day is yours to relax after your journey or begin exploring one of the world’s most spectacular cities. Stroll along the bustling waterfront, browse boutique shops, enjoy a coffee overlooking the harbour or simply unwind before the adventure begins.

This evening, meet your Luxury Women’s Tours host and fellow travellers at our welcome dinner, where we’ll get to know one another while enjoying our first taste of South African hospitality. It’s the perfect opportunity to settle in and get excited for the incredible journey ahead.

Day 2 – Tuesday 10 August 2027: Cape Peninsula & Penguins

After breakfast, we set off on one of the world’s most spectacular coastal journeys as we explore the breathtaking Cape Peninsula.

Travelling along the beautiful Atlantic coastline, we’ll pass the pristine beaches of Clifton and Camps Bay before continuing through the charming fishing village of Hout Bay. From here, enjoy the unforgettable drive along Chapman’s Peak Drive, renowned for its dramatic ocean views and towering cliffs.

Our journey continues into the magnificent Cape Point Nature Reserve, where you’ll visit the iconic Cape Point Lighthouse and the legendary Cape of Good Hope. Surrounded by rugged cliffs, crashing waves and spectacular scenery, this is one of South Africa’s most memorable destinations.

We’ll enjoy lunch at the famous Two Oceans Restaurant before visiting the delightful African penguin colony at Boulders Beach near Simon’s Town. Watching these charming birds in their natural habitat is sure to be one of the highlights of your time in Cape Town.

After an unforgettable day exploring the Cape Peninsula, we return to Cape Town, where the evening is at leisure to enjoy one of the many excellent restaurants along the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront.

Day 3 – Table Mountain & High Tea at the Mount Nelson (B, High Tea)

After breakfast, enjoy a guided tour of Cape Town, discovering some of the city’s most iconic landmarks, historic precincts and vibrant neighbourhoods. Framed by the magnificent Table Mountain and surrounded by spectacular coastline, Cape Town is widely regarded as one of the world’s most beautiful cities.

We then make our way to the Table Mountain Aerial Cableway for an unforgettable journey to the summit of this world-famous landmark (weather permitting). From the top, take in breathtaking panoramic views across Cape Town, Table Bay, Robben Island and the surrounding mountain ranges while exploring the scenic walking paths and viewpoints.

Later, we’ll indulge in an elegant High Tea at the iconic Mount Nelson Hotel, affectionately known as “The Pink Lady.” Set within beautiful gardens at the foot of Table Mountain, this timeless Cape Town tradition features an exquisite selection of handcrafted pastries, cakes, sandwiches and premium teas.

Day 4 – Free Day to Explore Cape Town (B)

After breakfast, enjoy a full day at leisure to experience Cape Town at your own pace.

Relax along the vibrant Victoria & Alfred Waterfront, browse boutique shops and local markets, visit one of the city’s fascinating museums or simply soak up the atmosphere at a waterfront café. Those wishing to explore further may choose from a range of optional experiences, including Robben Island, a helicopter flight over the city, a visit to Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden or additional time discovering Cape Town’s renowned food and wine scene.

This free day allows you to tailor your experience and enjoy one of the world’s most beautiful cities exactly as you wish.

This evening, we gather for dinner and reflect on our wonderful time in Cape Town before tomorrow’s journey into the African wilderness.

Day 5 – Friday 13 August 2027: Fly to Karongwe Private Game Reserve

After breakfast, we farewell Cape Town and transfer to the airport for our flight to Hoedspruit, the gateway to South Africa’s spectacular Greater Kruger region.

On arrival, we’ll be met by our safari guide and transferred to the beautiful Karongwe Private Game Reserve, home to an incredible diversity of wildlife including the legendary Big Five. After settling into our lodge and enjoying lunch, there will be time to relax before the adventure truly begins.

Later this afternoon, climb aboard an open safari vehicle for your first thrilling game drive. Accompanied by expert guides and trackers, venture into the African bush in search of lions, leopards, elephants, rhinos, buffalo and countless other species that call this remarkable wilderness home.

As the sun sets over the reserve, we’ll pause to enjoy a traditional safari sundowner before continuing our game drive into the early evening. Return to the lodge for dinner and spend your first night surrounded by the unforgettable sights and sounds of the African bush.

Day 6 – Saturday 14 August 2027: Big Five Safari

An early morning wake-up call marks the beginning of another unforgettable day on safari. After a light refreshment, we’ll head out into the African bush with our experienced guide and tracker in search of the incredible wildlife that calls Karongwe Private Game Reserve home.

Keep your camera ready as we explore this pristine wilderness, searching for the legendary Big Five—lion, leopard, elephant, rhino and buffalo—as well as giraffe, zebra, hippo, cheetah, hyena, antelope and an abundance of birdlife. Every game drive is unique, with new sightings and unforgettable moments around every corner.

Return to the lodge for a leisurely breakfast before enjoying time to relax and soak up the peaceful surroundings. After lunch, there is free time to unwind before we venture back into the reserve for another exciting afternoon game drive.

As the day draws to a close, we’ll pause for a traditional safari sundowner while watching the African sun sink below the horizon before continuing our search for nocturnal wildlife on the drive back to the lodge.

Day 7 – Sunday 15 August 2027: Another Day on Safari

Another exciting day awaits as we head out before sunrise for a morning game drive through the pristine wilderness of Karongwe Private Game Reserve. With every safari bringing something new, today offers another opportunity to encounter Africa’s incredible wildlife, from powerful predators to graceful antelope and colourful birdlife.

After returning to the lodge for breakfast, enjoy a relaxing morning at leisure. Take in the tranquil surroundings, unwind by the pool or simply watch the wildlife that often visits the lodge.

Following lunch, we’ll venture back into the reserve for another afternoon game drive. Your experienced ranger will continue tracking wildlife while sharing fascinating insights into the behaviour of the animals and the delicate ecosystems of the African bush.

As the day draws to a close, enjoy another unforgettable African sunset before returning to the lodge for dinner and a relaxing evening beneath the stars.

Day 8 – Monday 16 August 2027: Morning Safari & Becks Safari Lodge

Rise early for one final morning game drive from Shiduli Safari Lodge, making the most of another opportunity to explore the spectacular Karongwe Private Game Reserve. Every safari is different, and with a little luck, today may bring even more unforgettable wildlife encounters.

After returning to the lodge for breakfast, we’ll check out and transfer to the luxurious Becks Safari Lodge, our home for the next two nights. Nestled in the heart of the reserve and overlooking a natural waterhole, Becks Safari Lodge offers an elegant and peaceful retreat where wildlife is often spotted from the comfort of the lodge.

Following lunch, take some time to relax before heading back into the African bush for another expertly guided afternoon game drive. As the sun begins to set, we’ll pause for a traditional safari sundowner before continuing our search for the reserve’s remarkable wildlife.

Return to the lodge after dark for dinner and another unforgettable evening beneath the stars in the heart of the African wilderness.

Day 9 – Tuesday 17 August 2027: Final Day on Safari

Enjoy one last early morning game drive as the African bush awakens around you. Whether it’s a pride of lions, a herd of elephants crossing your path or a glimpse of the elusive leopard, every safari brings new and memorable encounters.

Return to the lodge for a leisurely breakfast before enjoying some free time to relax and appreciate the beautiful surroundings. Perhaps take in the views from the lodge, enjoy the peaceful atmosphere or simply reflect on the incredible wildlife experiences of the past few days.

Following lunch, we’ll head out on our final afternoon game drive through Karongwe Private Game Reserve. As the sun sets over the African bush, take in the last moments of this unforgettable safari adventure before returning to the lodge for a farewell dinner with your fellow travellers.

Day 10 – Wednesday 18 August 2027: Johannesburg

After a final breakfast in the African bush, we farewell Karongwe Private Game Reserve and transfer to Hoedspruit Airport for our flight to Johannesburg.

On arrival at O.R. Tambo International Airport, we’ll make the short walk across to our conveniently located hotel, where the remainder of the afternoon is yours to relax and unwind after our incredible safari adventure. Take advantage of the hotel’s excellent facilities or simply enjoy some quiet time reflecting on the unforgettable wildlife encounters and experiences of the past few days.

This evening, we’ll gather for dinner at the renowned Quills Restaurant, where contemporary South African cuisine and warm hospitality provide the perfect way to celebrate another wonderful day of our journey.

Day 11 – Thursday 19 August 2027: Welcome to Victoria Falls

After breakfast, we return to the airport for our flight to Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, home to one of the world’s most spectacular natural wonders.

Upon arrival, we’ll be met by our local representative and transferred to our boutique accommodation, The Victorian Manor, where we’ll spend the next three nights. Nestled in a peaceful setting just moments from the vibrant town centre, the manor provides the perfect base from which to explore this remarkable destination.

The remainder of the afternoon is yours to relax or take a leisurely stroll into town to browse local markets, cafés and artisan shops while soaking up the welcoming atmosphere of Victoria Falls.

This evening, we gather for dinner and our first taste of Zimbabwean hospitality as we prepare for tomorrow’s unforgettable visit to the magnificent Victoria Falls.

Day 12 – Friday 20 August 2027: Victoria Falls & Zambezi Sunset Cruise

After breakfast, prepare to experience one of the greatest natural wonders on Earth as we enjoy a guided tour of the magnificent Victoria Falls. Known locally as “The Smoke That Thunders,” this UNESCO World Heritage-listed site is the world’s largest sheet of falling water and one of Africa’s most iconic landmarks. As we explore the various viewing points, our guide will share fascinating insights into the history, geology and significance of this breathtaking destination.

Following our visit, we’ll enjoy lunch at the spectacular Lookout Café, perched high above the dramatic Batoka Gorge. With panoramic views over the Zambezi River and the historic Victoria Falls Bridge, it’s the perfect setting to relax and take in the incredible scenery.

Later this afternoon, we’ll board our sunset cruise on the mighty Zambezi River. Sit back with a refreshing drink in hand as we drift along one of Africa’s most famous waterways, watching for hippos, crocodiles, elephants and abundant birdlife while the African sun sets over the river.

After this unforgettable experience, we return to our hotel for dinner.

Today is yours to relax or choose from a wide range of optional activities available in and around Victoria Falls. For those seeking adventure, you may wish to take a scenic helicopter flight over the falls, known as the “Flight of Angels,” enjoy a thrilling zipline or gorge swing, or embark on a game drive through nearby Zambezi National Park. Alternatively, explore the local markets, visit a traditional village, or simply relax by the pool and enjoy the peaceful surroundings of our boutique hotel.

With so many incredible experiences on offer, today provides the perfect opportunity to tailor your visit to one of Africa’s most iconic destinations.

This evening is free to enjoy dinner at one of Victoria Falls’ many excellent restaurants (own expense).

Day 14 – Sunday 22 August 2027: Chobe National Park, Botswana

After breakfast, we farewell Zimbabwe and journey across the border into Botswana, arriving at the world-renowned Chobe National Park.

Our home for the next two nights is the iconic Chobe Game Lodge, the only permanent lodge located within the national park itself. Set on the banks of the Chobe River, the lodge offers an unrivalled location surrounded by one of Africa’s richest wildlife habitats, famous for its enormous elephant herds and incredible diversity of animals and birdlife.

After enjoying lunch and settling into the lodge, we’ll embark on our first safari experience in Chobe. Depending on the day’s schedule, this will be either an exciting 4WD game drive through the national park or a relaxing river safari along the Chobe River. Both offer exceptional opportunities to encounter elephants, buffalo, hippos, crocodiles, antelope and, with a little luck, lions and other predators in their natural environment.

As the sun sets over the river, we return to the lodge for dinner and another unforgettable evening in the African wilderness.

Day 15 – Monday 23 August 2027: Chobe National Park Safari

Today is dedicated to exploring the extraordinary wilderness of Chobe National Park, one of Africa’s premier safari destinations and home to one of the largest concentrations of elephants on the continent.

This morning, set out on an exciting game drive with your expert guide, venturing through diverse landscapes in search of elephants, lions, leopards, buffalo, giraffes, zebras, sable antelope and an incredible variety of birdlife. Every drive offers new wildlife encounters and unforgettable photographic opportunities.

After returning to the lodge for lunch and some time to relax, experience Chobe from a completely different perspective as we embark on an afternoon river safari. Cruising along the Chobe River provides incredible close-up views of elephants gathering at the water’s edge, pods of hippos, crocodiles basking on the riverbanks and an abundance of birdlife, all while enjoying the peaceful beauty of this remarkable ecosystem.

Terms and Conditions of booking

Please take the time to read and understand the booking terms and conditions prior to booking a trip with us.

DEPOSITS AND PAYMENT SCHEDULE

For all advertised LWT itineraries and dates, a trip-specific deposit amount per person required to confirm and secure your booking.

Final balance payment is due 90 days before the trip start date.

If your booking is made within 90 days of the trip start date then the full amount is payable at the time of booking.

Full Refund if you cancel more than 90 days prior to the trip start date.

Cancellations 89- 60 days  before commencement: All payments will convert to a credit, including deposit: credit must be used with 24 months

Less than 60 days: No refunds or credits

PRICING

Trip prices include all applicable taxes.

Trip prices are based on shared occupancy. Single travelers will be assigned a roommate by LWT for no extra single supplement fee.

LWT is not responsible for any fees incurred due to currency exchange or fees charged by your credit card/bank for processing funds in any currency.

CANCELLATION OF A TOUR BY THE CLIENT

Any cancellation by a Client must be made in writing to

After written confirmation of the cancellation by LWT, your spot on the trip will be released immediately and is not guaranteed to be available for rebooking.

Refund terms if cancelled by the client:

CREDITS

Credits are valid to use to rebook for the year of the original trip or the next calendar year Valid for 24 months from issue

Credit may be transferred to another woman. You may find another woman to take your spot. She pays you directly for the deposit and assumes responsibility for any outstanding balance payments. The replacement participant must meet trip registration requirements and be approved to join the trip by LWT.

Credits may be used towards the final balance of another trip, applied at 90 days in advance of the trip start date. Credit may be transferred to any other trip, and you may cancel and reapply your credit as many times as you like, before 90 days in advance of the trip date, within the original credit expiry date.

Credits will be in AUD

CANCELLATION OF A TOUR BY LUXURY WOMEN’S TOURS

Our trips are confirmed to depart when they have a minimum group size booked. LWT reserves the right to cancel any trip for any reason, but will rarely cancel a tour less than 60 days before departure except for Force Majeure, unusual or unforeseen circumstances outside LWTs control.

When a tour is cancelled by LWT before the agreed date of departure for any reason other than Force Majeure or the fault of the Client, the Client can either:

  • Take a substitute tour of equivalent or higher price if LWT  is able and willing to offer such a substitute and pay any difference in price between the price of the tour originally purchased and that of the superior substitute tour; or
  • Take a substitute tour of lower price if LWT  is able and willing to offer one and to recover from LWT  the difference in price between the tour originally purchased and that of the substitute tour; or
  • Receive a full refund of all monies paid under the contract as soon as possible.

LWT is not responsible for any incidental expenses or consequential losses that the Client may have incurred as a result of the booking such as visas, vaccinations, non-refundable flights or rail, non-refundable car parking or other fees, loss of earnings, or loss of enjoyment, etc.

If the Client is offered a refund but requests an alternative tour of a higher value than that originally booked, then the Client must pay the difference in price.

Where, after departure, a significant element of the trip contracted for cannot be provided, LWT  will make suitable alternative arrangements for the continuation of the trip.
