Upon your arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport, you’ll be welcomed with the genuine warmth of Sri Lankan hospitality. Our representative will greet you with beautiful Orchid flowers before escorting you to your transfer.
You will then head to Negombo, where a traditional oil lamp lighting ceremony will mark your arrival. The hotel’s Guest Relations Officer will assist with check-in, and after enjoying a refreshing fruit juice, you’ll receive your room keys. Settle in, relax, and unwind at your leisure.

Begin your day with a visit to the bustling Fish Market, also known as Lellama, in Negombo. Located across the lagoon bridge near the Old Dutch Gate, this is the second-largest open-air fish market in Sri Lanka. Here, you’ll gain a fascinating insight into the local fishing community as fishermen in hundreds of boats bring in their daily catch. Watch as wholesalers and restaurateurs trade, while fish are packed and loaded for distribution across the country and even for export worldwide.
Afterward, you’ll journey to Chilaw for a unique experience in ‘Toddy Tapping’ and ‘Arrack Tasting’ at a selected estate, where you’ll also visit a distillery. Your experience is complemented with a traditional Sri Lankan snack breakfast, featuring manioc, sweet potato, mild coconut sambol, thick sun-dried fish curry, fried onions, and Kiri Bath (milk rice) – a true feast for the senses.
Following breakfast, you’ll head to Dambulla and check in to your hotel, where you can unwind and relax. This will be your home in Sri Lanka for the next three days.

After breakfast at the hotel, begin your day with a visit to the archaeological site of Polonnaruwa, a UNESCO World Heritage site. You have the option to explore the city by bicycle, with a vehicle following alongside for those who prefer not to cycle. At the site, your guide will bring everyone together to explain the significance of Polonnaruwa, the second-largest city in the region, renowned for its clean, beautiful environment, and ancient constructions, including the impressive Parakrama Samudra lake built in 1200 AD. The untouched relics and well-preserved ruins make it one of the best-planned archaeological sites in Sri Lanka.
In the afternoon, embark on an exciting game drive at Minneriya National Park, located 182 km from Colombo. The park is home to a diverse array of wildlife, including 24 species of mammals, over 170 bird species, and 25 types of reptiles, 8 of which are endemic to Sri Lanka. Depending on the time of year, you may visit Kaudulla or Eco Park for the best chance to witness the famous elephant gathering at the massive Minneriya Rainwater Reservoir. This unforgettable experience is sure to leave you with cherished memories.
After an exhilarating 3-hour safari, return to your hotel in Dambulla. On the way back, enjoy a fun song-by-song session, with the winner receiving a case of Somersby beers.

After breakfast at the hotel, you’ll embark on the Hiriwadunna village tour, offering a glimpse into the traditional Sri Lankan way of life. The trek begins with a transfer in Land Masters (tractors) through the picturesque village, where you’ll spot vibrant birdlife, butterflies, and possibly even crocodiles along the lake. You may also witness villagers going about their daily routines, such as fishing or washing clothes at the water’s edge. The journey continues with a shallow stream crossing, followed by a catamaran ride led by a local farmer, allowing you to explore the surrounding cultivation areas.
During the tour, you’ll experience a bullock cart ride and visit a traditional village house, where you’ll participate in a live cooking demonstration with a local village woman. In the evening, climb the majestic Sigiriya Rock Fortress, a UNESCO World Heritage site built by King Kashyapa in the 5th century. As you ascend the spiral stairway, you’ll visit the famous frescoes of the ‘Heavenly Maidens,’ painted in earth pigments on plaster. In the afternoon, continue to the Peradeniya Botanical Garden, located 6 km from central Kandy. Deposits and Payment Schedule
To join any of our captivating Luxury Women’s Tours (LWT) itineraries, a per-person deposit, tailored to your selected trip, is required to confirm and secure your reservation.
The final balance payment must be settled 90 days before your journey begins. If you book within this 90-day window, the full amount becomes due at the time of booking.
In case of cancellation more than 90 days prior to the trip’s start, a full refund is granted, with deductions for non-refundable supplier deposits and non-refundable flight expenses.
For cancellations made between 90 and 60 days before the trip starts, your land component deposits become non-refundable, while all other payments are refunded, with non-refundable supplier or flight charges deducted.
Cancellations occurring 59 days or fewer before the trip starts result in all land tour component payments, including the deposit, being non-refundable.
All flights are subject to airline terms and conditions.
Pricing
Published trip prices include all applicable taxes and are based on shared occupancy. Solo travelers are thoughtfully matched with roommates to avoid additional single supplement fees. Single supplements are available with a surcharge, subject to availability.
Please note that LWT is not responsible for fees related to currency exchange or charges imposed by your credit card company or bank for foreign currency transactions.

Be aware that terms, conditions, and cancellation fees imposed by flight carriers are applicable in accordance with the airline’s policies.
Cancellation by the Client
In case a Client needs to cancel their reservation, we request written notification sent to jamie@luxurywomenstours.com.au.
Upon receiving written confirmation of cancellation from LWT, your reserved spot on the trip will be released, and rebooking availability is not guaranteed.
Refund terms for client-initiated cancellations are as follows:
- Over 90 days before the trip’s start: Full refund, with deductions for non-refundable supplier deposits and non-refundable flight expenses.
- Cancellation between 90 and 60 days before the trip’s start: Land component deposits become non-refundable, with all other payments refunded, minus non-refundable supplier or flight charges.
- Cancellations occurring 59 days or fewer before the trip starts result in all land tour component payments, including the deposit, being non-refundable.
- All flights are subject to airline terms and conditions.
Credits
Credits are valid for use within the original year of the trip or the following calendar year, with a total validity period of 24 months from the date of issuance.
These credits can be transferred to another woman, who assumes responsibility for any outstanding balance payments and directly reimburses you for the deposit. However, the replacement participant must meet trip registration requirements and receive approval from LWT.
You can also apply your credits toward the final balance of another trip, provided the request is made at least 90 days before the trip’s start date. Additionally, you have the flexibility to transfer your credits to any other trip or cancel and reapply your credits as many times as needed before the 90-day mark before the trip date, all within the original credit expiry date. Please note that all credits are issued in Australian Dollars (AUD).
Cancellation of a Tour by Luxury Women’s Tours
Our trips are confirmed to depart with a minimum group size booked. LWT reserves the right to cancel any trip for any reason, though cancellations less than 60 days before departure are rare, except for Force Majeure or unforeseen circumstances beyond LWT’s control.
If LWT cancels a tour before the agreed departure date for reasons other than Force Majeure or the fault of the Client, you have the following options:
- Choose a substitute tour of equivalent or higher price, paying the difference.
- Opt for a substitute tour of lower price, receiving the difference in price as a refund.
- Receive a full refund of all monies paid under the contract.
LWT is not responsible for incidental expenses or consequential losses incurred by the Client, such as visa fees, vaccinations, non-refundable flights or rail tickets, non-refundable parking, loss of earnings, or loss of enjoyment.
