This tour is designed for travellers with a reasonable level of fitness. Activities include guided walking tours, uneven surfaces at archaeological sites, stairs, and some inclines — particularly at Machu Picchu and Inca ruins.
No trekking experience is required, and all activities are paced comfortably with regular rest stops. The itinerary is carefully structured to allow for altitude acclimatisation in the Sacred Valley before visiting higher-altitude destinations.
Guests should be comfortable walking for up to 2–3 hours at a relaxed pace on some days and managing stairs and uneven ground.



Welcome to Peru. On arrival in Lima, we are met at the airport and transferred to our hotel, with guided assistance to ensure a smooth and comfortable arrival.
We check in to the Pullman Miraflores, a contemporary five-star hotel located in Lima’s stylish coastal district, close to the ocean and lively neighbourhood cafés.
This evening, we come together for a welcome dinner at a local restaurant, the perfect opportunity to meet your fellow travellers and your tour host while enjoying our first taste of Peruvian cuisine.

This morning, we set out to explore Lima, once known as the “City of Kings.” Our guided city tour takes us through the historic centre, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where colonial grandeur meets centuries of history. We visit the impressive Plaza de Armas, admire the Cathedral and Presidential Palace, explore the atmospheric San Francisco Monastery and its catacombs, and step inside Casa de Aliaga, the oldest continuously inhabited colonial residence in the Americas.
In the afternoon, we experience Lima’s world-renowned culinary scene during a guided food and drink tour, combined with a leisurely walk through the artistic Barranco district. Along the way, we enjoy a series of carefully selected tastings, including coastal bites with ocean views, dining beside the pre-Incan ruins of Huaca Pucllana, a tasting menu showcasing flavours from across Peru, an artisanal chocolate experience, and a walk through Barranco’s colourful streets, murals and galleries.
After a rewarding day of sightseeing and indulgence, we return to our hotel for the evening.

This morning, we transfer to the airport for our flight to Iquitos, the gateway to the Peruvian Amazon. On arrival, we travel by road to Nauta, where we board our luxury Amazon river ship, the Zafiro, and begin an unforgettable journey into the heart of the rainforest.
After embarkation, we settle into our cabins and enjoy an orientation as we prepare for the days ahead. The Amazon is one of the most biodiverse regions on Earth, and our cruise offers an immersive yet comfortable way to experience its extraordinary wildlife, landscapes and remote river communities.
This evening, we set out on our first guided excursion by skiff along the Nauta Caño, venturing into the jungle at night to discover nocturnal species and experience the sounds and atmosphere of the rainforest after dark.
We return to the ship for dinner and our first night on board.

We begin the day immersed in the natural beauty of the Amazon. This morning, we head out to Yanayacu de Pucate, where we enjoy a gentle kayaking experience and the opportunity to swim in the calm waters of the river, surrounded by lush rainforest scenery.
Returning to the ship, we enjoy time to relax and take part in onboard activities before lunch is served.
In the afternoon, we visit the riverside community of San Regis, where we are welcomed by locals and experience a traditional blessing ceremony, offering insight into daily life and cultural traditions along the Amazon River.
As evening falls, we return to the ship for dinner and time to unwind, listening to the sounds of the rainforest as we cruise deeper into this extraordinary region.

This morning, we explore the Amazonian Natural Park, where we walk along a network of elevated suspension bridges, offering a unique perspective of the rainforest canopy and the diverse wildlife that inhabits it.

Later in the afternoon, we head out by skiff along the Nahuapa River, where we try our hand at traditional piranha fishing and keep an eye out for wildlife along the riverbanks.

This morning, we transfer to the airport for our flight to Cusco. On arrival, we continue directly into the Sacred Valley of the Incas, descending to a lower altitude to allow time for acclimatisation.
We check in to the elegant Tambo del Inka, a five-star riverside resort set among the dramatic Andean landscapes of the Sacred Valley. The remainder of the day is at leisure, giving us time to rest, enjoy the hotel’s facilities, or simply take in the serene surroundings.
This gentle introduction to the Andes ensures we are well prepared for the days ahead.

This morning, we travel by shuttle bus up the mountain to Machu Picchu, where we enjoy a guided tour of one of the world’s most extraordinary archaeological sites. Set high among misty peaks, this legendary Inca citadel offers an unforgettable first glimpse as it reveals itself from the surrounding mountains.
With our expert local guide, we explore the site’s terraces, temples and ceremonial spaces while learning about its fascinating history and significance within the Inca Empire. Abandoned before the Spanish conquest and never discovered by conquistadors, Machu Picchu remains remarkably well preserved and deeply atmospheric.
After our visit, we enjoy lunch at the Sanctuary Lodge, overlooking the ruins, before returning to Aguas Calientes for a relaxed afternoon at leisure.

This morning, we depart Aguas Calientes and board the scenic train to Ollantaytambo, enjoying another journey through the beautiful Andean landscapes.
On arrival, we continue by road to Cusco, the historic capital of the Inca Empire. Set high in the Andes, Cusco blends ancient Inca foundations with elegant colonial architecture, creating a city rich in culture and history.
We check in to the beautiful Libertador Palacio del Inca, a five-star heritage hotel located in the heart of the city. The remainder of the day is at leisure, allowing time to rest, explore nearby streets, or enjoy the hotel’s historic surroundings.
This evening is free to dine independently.

Today we explore the rich history of Cusco, from its Inca origins to its colonial past and vibrant present. Our guided city tour begins at Koricancha, the former Temple of the Sun, once the most important religious site in the Inca Empire and later transformed by the Spanish into a colonial church.
We continue through the historic centre to see the famous 12-Angled Stone and visit the Cathedral, built atop the ruins of an Inca palace. From here, we travel to the impressive archaeological sites surrounding the city, including the vast stone fortress of Sacsayhuamán, the mysterious rock formations of Qenqo, the ancient military site of Puca Pucara, and the serene Water Temple of Tambomachay.
The afternoon is at leisure to relax or explore Cusco at your own pace.
This evening, we gather for a farewell dinner at a local restaurant, complete with a traditional folk show — a wonderful way to celebrate our time together in Peru.

Terms and Conditions of booking
Please take the time to read and understand the booking terms and conditions prior to booking a trip with us.
Deposits and Payment Schedule
To join any of our captivating Luxury Women’s Tours (LWT) itineraries, a per-person deposit, tailored to your selected trip, is required to confirm and secure your reservation.
The final balance payment must be settled 90 days before your journey begins. If you book within this 90-day window, the full amount becomes due at the time of booking.
In case of cancellation more than 90 days prior to the trip’s start, a full refund is granted, with deductions for non-refundable supplier deposits and non-refundable flight expenses.
For cancellations made between 90 and 60 days before the trip starts, your land component deposits become non-refundable, while all other payments are refunded, with non-refundable supplier or flight charges deducted.
Cancellations occurring 59 days or fewer before the trip starts result in all land tour component payments, including the deposit, being non-refundable.
All flights are subject to airline terms and conditions.
Pricing
Published trip prices include all applicable taxes and are based on shared occupancy. Solo travelers are thoughtfully matched with roommates to avoid additional single supplement fees. Single supplements are available with a surcharge, subject to availability.
Please note that LWT is not responsible for fees related to currency exchange or charges imposed by your credit card company or bank for foreign currency transactions.

Be aware that terms, conditions, and cancellation fees imposed by flight carriers are applicable in accordance with the airline’s policies.
Cancellation by the Client
In case a Client needs to cancel their reservation, we request written notification sent to jamie@luxurywomenstours.com.au.
Upon receiving written confirmation of cancellation from LWT, your reserved spot on the trip will be released, and rebooking availability is not guaranteed.
Refund terms for client-initiated cancellations are as follows:
- Over 90 days before the trip’s start: Full refund, with deductions for non-refundable supplier deposits and non-refundable flight expenses.
- Cancellation between 90 and 60 days before the trip’s start: Land component deposits become non-refundable, with all other payments refunded, minus non-refundable supplier or flight charges.
- Cancellations occurring 59 days or fewer before the trip starts result in all land tour component payments, including the deposit, being non-refundable.
- All flights are subject to airline terms and conditions.
Credits
Credits are valid for use within the original year of the trip or the following calendar year, with a total validity period of 24 months from the date of issuance.
These credits can be transferred to another woman, who assumes responsibility for any outstanding balance payments and directly reimburses you for the deposit. However, the replacement participant must meet trip registration requirements and receive approval from LWT.
You can also apply your credits toward the final balance of another trip, provided the request is made at least 90 days before the trip’s start date. Additionally, you have the flexibility to transfer your credits to any other trip or cancel and reapply your credits as many times as needed before the 90-day mark before the trip date, all within the original credit expiry date. Please note that all credits are issued in Australian Dollars (AUD).
Cancellation of a Tour by Luxury Women’s Tours
Our trips are confirmed to depart with a minimum group size booked. LWT reserves the right to cancel any trip for any reason, though cancellations less than 60 days before departure are rare, except for Force Majeure or unforeseen circumstances beyond LWT’s control.
If LWT cancels a tour before the agreed departure date for reasons other than Force Majeure or the fault of the Client, you have the following options:
- Choose a substitute tour of equivalent or higher price, paying the difference.
- Opt for a substitute tour of lower price, receiving the difference in price as a refund.
- Receive a full refund of all monies paid under the contract.
LWT is not responsible for incidental expenses or consequential losses incurred by the Client, such as visa fees, vaccinations, non-refundable flights or rail tickets, non-refundable parking, loss of earnings, or loss of enjoyment.
