DAY 1 -Saturday, 22 March 2025: Arrive Tokyo, Japan (D)

 

Welcome to vibrant Tokyo, Japan! As you arrive, our friendly driver will warmly greet you, and transfer you to our luxurious hotel nestled in the heart of this bustling metropolis.

Check in and relax until our welcome dinner later at Roppongi Robataya, a gem nestled in the lively Roppongi district. This traditional robatayaki restaurant invites us to savor an array of expertly grilled dishes in a vibrant atmosphere.

Day 2: Sunday, March 23, 2025- Tokyo City Tour With Kimono experience and Tea Ceremony (B, L)

Today, our first destination is the vibrant Tsukiji Outer Market, a haven of traditional Japanese treats and unique homewares. We then wander through the trendy neighborhoods of Harajuku & Shibuya, soaking in the local culture. The journey continues to the sacred Meiji Shrine, where we can observe locals honoring ancient Shinto traditions.

We pause for lunch at a local restaurant, indulging in authentic Japanese cuisine.

Post-lunch, we try on a traditional Kimono and then partake in a tea ceremony to learn about Japanese traditions through immersive cultural workshops.

Later, Explore Tokyo’s famous sites at Asakusa’s Sensoji Temple with its Nakamise District. Conclude the day with a leisurely tour through the charming old town.

Day 3: Monday, March 24, 2025- Half day tour and sushi making class and free time (B,L,)

 

This morning, we embark on a journey to discover the amazing cherry trees at the iconic sites of Tokyo, starting at Ueno Park, then moving on to the Imperial Palace, Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden.

Later, Immerse yourself in the art of sushi during a private sushi-making class accompanied by an English-speaking assistant. In this engaging 90-minute session:

  • Craft 5 types of sushi, showcasing the mastery of nigiri sushi and tamagoyaki sushi.
  • Learn two authentic methods of shaping sushi: ‘kotegaeshi’ and ‘tategaeshi.’
  • Delight in the culmination of your efforts with a satisfying lunch featuring the sushi you’ve expertly crafted.

After this culinary adventure, the remainder of the day is yours to savor. Take the opportunity to relax and explore Tokyo at your own pace.

Day 4: Tuesday, March 25, 2025- Tokyo – Mt. Fuji – Hakone Tour (B,L)

 

Get ready for an awe-inspiring encounter with the breathtaking beauty of Mt. Fuji!

After breakfast, our journey takes us to the majestic 5th station of Mt. Fuji. Along the way, we make a pitstop for a lunch experience (at your own expense) at a picturesque restaurant. We then continue our adventure towards Lake Kawaguchi, offering a chance to capture the perfect mirror image of this iconic Japanese peak on clear days.  Visit the Itchiku Kubota Art Museum, where one-of-a-kind kimono masterpieces await our admiration.

Later, we check into a luxurious Ryokan hotel. Prepare for an indulgent Onsen spa session, a quintessential Japanese experience that promises to be unlike any other.

Day 5: Wednesday, March 26, 2025 – Hakone Tour – Free time (B,L,D)

 

Today, enjoy a half-day morning tour exploring the beauty of Hakone. Our itinerary includes a visit to the Hakone Open-Air Museum, a captivating space that combines art and nature seamlessly. We’ll then take a scenic roundtrip on the Hakone Ropeway, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding landscapes. If time allows, we’ll venture to the unique Owakudani Valley.

After the tour, indulge in a delightful lunch at a charming restaurant before returning to your hotel in Hakone.

The remainder of the day is yours to enjoy at leisure in Hakone. Immerse yourself in the tranquil surroundings and take advantage of the amenities your hotel offers. Dinner will be served at your hotel.

Day 6: Thursday, March 27, 2025- Hakone – Kyoto (B,D)

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel.

Start the day on a luxurious note and get whisked away to Kyoto via Japan’s iconic Shinkansen bullet train in Green class!

Upon arriving at Kyoto Station, you will be picked up by your guide and driver.

Check in to the hotel and enjoy  some time to rest before our afternoon guided tour of Kyoto.

This afternoon, we explore two vibrant regions – Gion and Shijo.   Gion and Shijo are two of the oldest, most iconic parts of Kyoto.  In Gion you can admire the old wooden buildings, marvel at the amazing cherry blossoms illuminated and lining the streets, catch a glimpse of a geisha, and savor delicious traditional cuisine from one of the many restaurants.  Later in Shijo, wander around its lively shopping streets and find a traditional souvenir to take home.

Later, We attend an amazing  geisha dinner and show.

Day 7: Friday, March 28, 2025 – Cultural Immersion Full day Kyoto(B,L)

 

Today, we embark on a captivating day of exploration in Kyoto. Your full-day guided tour unveils the city’s cultural treasures, and the beautiful cherry trees. Starting with the iconic Kinkakuji, the resplendent Golden Pavilion. Marvel at the Zen Buddhist temple adorned with gold leaf, harmoniously nestled amid picturesque gardens.

Following this visit, meander through the serene surrounding gardens and partake in a traditional Japanese tea experience. The journey continues to the Fushimi Inari area, where a scrumptious lunch at a local restaurant beckons, offering a chance to savor delightful Kyoto specialties.

Immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere of the Fushimi Inari Shrine, renowned for its myriad red torii gates ascending towards the sacred Mount Inari. Traverse the shrine grounds, and if you’re feeling adventurous, embark on a hike up the trail for panoramic views.  Finally we visit Kiyomizu-dera, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where the beauty of the wooden terrace and expansive views captivate.

Day 8: Saturday, March 29, 2025- Arashiyama (B,L)

Embark on a day of enchantment as you delve into the wonders of Arashiyama. Begin your exploration at Jojakko-Ji Temple, celebrated for its captivating scenery featuring vibrant autumn foliage and lush moss-covered landscapes in the summer. Immerse yourself in the tranquility of this sacred site, surrounded by nature’s ever-changing beauty.

Continue your journey with a leisurely stroll through the enchanting Sagano Bamboo Grove, where towering bamboo stalks create a serene and picturesque ambiance. Revel in the unique atmosphere of this bamboo wonderland, capturing moments of serenity amidst the rustling leaves.

Next, discover the exquisite temple gardens of Tenryuji, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Kyoto’s finest Zen temples. Marvel at the meticulously manicured landscapes that reflect the essence of Japanese aesthetics and Zen philosophy.

To enhance your Arashiyama experience, embark on a Yakatabune, a traditional pleasure boat, for a scenic cruise capturing the timeless beauty of the Togetsukyo Bridge.

Day 9: Sunday, March 30, 2025 – Kyoto Free day- Kyoto nightlife (B,D)

Enjoy a day of personal exploration in Kyoto, where the city becomes your canvas for adventure and discovery. No organized tours are scheduled for today, allowing you the freedom to chart your own course through Kyoto’s captivating landscapes and cultural treasures.

Later, delve into the enchanting world of Kyoto’s nightlife with a Kyoto Bar Hopping Nightlife Tour. This join-in experience, lasting for 3 hours, kicks off at 5:30 PM and promises an authentic and immersive journey into the hidden gems of Kyoto’s backstreets.

Today we embark on a scenic train journey from Kyoto to Takayama, where the tranquility of the Japanese countryside awaits.

Upon your arrival at Takayama Station we will walk 3 mins to our new hotel.

The remainder of the day is yours to savor at leisure in Takayama. Whether you choose to explore the local attractions, indulge in regional delicacies, or simply relax in the comfort of your accommodation.

Day 11: Tuesday, April 01, 2025- Takayama walking tour (B,L)

We start the day with a walking tour of Takayama, immersing ourselves in the rich culture and history of this charming town.

Begin by strolling through the lively Takayama Morning Market, a bustling hub where local vendors showcase fresh produce, crafts, and culinary delights. As we meander through the market’s vibrant stalls, we feel the energy of this lively community.

Continue the morning adventure by crossing the iconic Nakabashi Bridge. This picturesque landmark offers scenic views and serves as a gateway to the historic wonders that await.

In the afternoon, our journey into Takayama’s past continues with a visit to the Kusakabe Folk Museum. We immerse ourselves in the exhibits that showcase the town’s traditional architecture, crafts, and artifacts, providing a glimpse into its cultural heritage.

We cap off our walking tour with a visit to Kami-Sannomachi, a district renowned for its well-preserved Edo-period streets. As we wander through these charming lanes, we are transported back in time, surrounded by traditional merchant houses and the ambiance of a bygone era.

Throughout the day, our knowledgeable guide shares insights into the history and significance of each site, ensuring that our Takayama experience is not only visually enchanting but also enriched with cultural depth.

Day 12: Wednesday, April 02, 2025- Takayama – Shirakawago – Kanazawa (B,L)

Embark on a picturesque journey to UNESCO-listed Shirakawago, where you will explore the captivating Ogimachi Village, the largest village in this protected area. This immersive tour includes key highlights, providing you with a deeper understanding of the cultural and architectural wonders that define this region.

Shirakawago Highlights:

Immerse yourself in the avant-garde world of contemporary art at the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art before exploring the historic Kanazawa Castle, an iconic symbol of the city’s feudal past.

The Nomura Clan Samurai House offers a glimpse into samurai elite lifestyle, and the Nishi Chaya District preserves the charm of geisha traditions.

Conclude your day at the lively Omicho Market, sampling fresh seafood and regional delicacies.

Upon reaching Tokyo Station, we transfer to the hotel for check in.

Deposits and Payment Schedule

To join any of our captivating Luxury Women’s Tours (LWT) itineraries, a per-person deposit, tailored to your selected trip, is required to confirm and secure your reservation.

The final balance payment must be settled 90 days before your journey begins. If you book within this 90-day window, the full amount becomes due at the time of booking.

In case of cancellation more than 90 days prior to the trip’s start, a full refund is granted, with deductions for non-refundable supplier deposits and non-refundable flight expenses.

For cancellations made between 90 and 60 days before the trip starts, your land component deposits become non-refundable, while all other payments are refunded, with non-refundable supplier or flight charges deducted.

Cancellations occurring 59 days or fewer before the trip starts result in all land tour component payments, including the deposit, being non-refundable.

All flights are subject to airline terms and conditions.

Pricing

Published trip prices include all applicable taxes and are based on shared occupancy. Solo travelers are thoughtfully matched with roommates to avoid additional single supplement fees. Single supplements are available with a surcharge, subject to availability.

Please note that LWT is not responsible for fees related to currency exchange or charges imposed by your credit card company or bank for foreign currency transactions.

Be aware that terms, conditions, and cancellation fees imposed by flight carriers are applicable in accordance with the airline’s policies.

Cancellation by the Client

In case a Client needs to cancel their reservation, we request written notification sent to jamie@luxurywomenstours.com.au.

Upon receiving written confirmation of cancellation from LWT, your reserved spot on the trip will be released, and rebooking availability is not guaranteed.

Refund terms for client-initiated cancellations are as follows:

  • Over 90 days before the trip’s start: Full refund, with deductions for non-refundable supplier deposits and non-refundable flight expenses.
  • Cancellation between 90 and 60 days before the trip’s start: Land component deposits become non-refundable, with all other payments refunded, minus non-refundable supplier or flight charges.
  • Cancellations occurring 59 days or fewer before the trip starts result in all land tour component payments, including the deposit, being non-refundable.
  • All flights are subject to airline terms and conditions.

Credits

Credits are valid for use within the original year of the trip or the following calendar year, with a total validity period of 24 months from the date of issuance.

These credits can be transferred to another woman, who assumes responsibility for any outstanding balance payments and directly reimburses you for the deposit. However, the replacement participant must meet trip registration requirements and receive approval from LWT.

You can also apply your credits toward the final balance of another trip, provided the request is made at least 90 days before the trip’s start date. Additionally, you have the flexibility to transfer your credits to any other trip or cancel and reapply your credits as many times as needed before the 90-day mark before the trip date, all within the original credit expiry date. Please note that all credits are issued in Australian Dollars (AUD).

Cancellation of a Tour by Luxury Women’s Tours

Our trips are confirmed to depart with a minimum group size booked. LWT reserves the right to cancel any trip for any reason, though cancellations less than 60 days before departure are rare, except for Force Majeure or unforeseen circumstances beyond LWT’s control.

If LWT cancels a tour before the agreed departure date for reasons other than Force Majeure or the fault of the Client, you have the following options:

  • Choose a substitute tour of equivalent or higher price, paying the difference.
  • Opt for a substitute tour of lower price, receiving the difference in price as a refund.
  • Receive a full refund of all monies paid under the contract.

LWT is not responsible for incidental expenses or consequential losses incurred by the Client, such as visa fees, vaccinations, non-refundable flights or rail tickets, non-refundable parking, loss of earnings, or loss of enjoyment.
