This tour is suitable for women with a moderate level of fitness who are comfortable walking approximately 3–4 km on most sightseeing days.

You’ll explore many historic towns and cities on foot, including Rome, Pompeii, Capri, Matera, Alberobello, Ostuni and Lecce. Walking is on a mix of cobblestones, uneven paths, stairs, gentle hills and inclines, with some longer periods of standing during guided tours.

Matera and the white hilltop towns have a number of steps and sloping laneways, so a reasonable level of mobility is required.

Day 1 – Monday 4 October 2027 | Welcome to Rome

Welcome to Italy!

Upon arrival at Rome Airport, you’ll be met by our private driver and transferred to your hotel in the heart of the Eternal City. After checking in, the remainder of the day is yours to relax, settle in, or begin exploring Rome at your own pace.

This evening, meet your fellow travellers for a welcome dinner, the perfect opportunity to get to know the wonderful group of like-minded women you’ll be sharing this unforgettable journey with.

Day 2 – Tuesday 5 October 2027 | Discover the Eternal City

After breakfast, set out on a guided tour of Rome’s historic centre, where centuries of history and magnificent architecture await. Admire some of the city’s most iconic landmarks, including the Trevi Fountain, the Spanish Steps, the Pantheon and the lively Piazza Navona.

Enjoy free time for lunch before continuing to one of the world’s most famous ancient landmarks. This afternoon, explore the incredible Colosseum and the Roman Forum, where gladiators once battled and the heart of the Roman Empire came to life.

After an unforgettable day discovering the highlights of Rome, return to your hotel for the evening.

Day 3 – Wednesday 6 October 2027 | The Vatican

After breakfast, enjoy a guided tour of the world’s smallest country, Vatican City. Explore the remarkable Vatican Museums, home to one of the world’s greatest collections of art, before stepping inside the breathtaking Sistine Chapel to admire Michelangelo’s world-famous ceiling.

Continue to the magnificent St Peter’s Basilica, the largest church in the world and one of Christianity’s most important pilgrimage sites.

Day 4 – Thursday 7 October 2027 | Rome – Pompeii – Sorrento

After an early breakfast, depart Rome and journey south through the beautiful regions of Lazio and Campania towards the spectacular Amalfi Coast.

Along the way, stop to explore the remarkable UNESCO World Heritage Site of Pompeii. Buried beneath volcanic ash following the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in AD 79, this extraordinary archaeological site offers a fascinating glimpse into daily life in ancient Rome. Enjoy a guided tour before sitting down to a traditional lunch at a local winery.

This afternoon, continue along the scenic Sorrentine Coast to the charming seaside town of Sorrento, where you’ll check into your hotel and enjoy the evening at leisure.

Day 5 – Friday 8 October 2027 | Capri & the Blue Grotto

Weather permitting, you’ll visit the famous Blue Grotto, where sunlight reflects through the crystal-clear water, illuminating the cave in a magical shade of brilliant blue. You’ll then have free time to explore Capri at your own pace. Wander the charming streets, browse the elegant boutiques, enjoy a leisurely lunch, or simply soak up the spectacular Mediterranean scenery.

Later this afternoon, return to Sorrento, where the evening is yours to relax and enjoy.

Day 6 – Saturday 9 October 2027 | Sorrento at Leisure

Today is yours to enjoy the beauty of Sorrento at your own pace.

Day 7 – Sunday 10 October 2027 | Sorrento – Bari

After breakfast, enjoy a leisurely morning before departing Sorrento and travelling across Southern Italy to the vibrant coastal city of Bari, the gateway to the beautiful region of Puglia.

Upon arrival, check into your hotel and enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure. You may like to take a stroll along the waterfront promenade, explore the nearby streets, or simply relax before beginning your exploration of this fascinating region tomorrow.

Day 8 – Monday 11 October 2027 | Discover Bari

After breakfast, meet your local guide for a fascinating tour of Bari, the capital of Puglia. After breakfast, depart Bari and travel to the charming coastal town of Trani, often referred to as the “Pearl of Puglia.” Enjoy time to explore its picturesque harbour, medieval streets and magnificent white limestone cathedral overlooking the Adriatic Sea.

This afternoon, visit the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Castel del Monte, an extraordinary 13th-century fortress built by Emperor Frederick II. Famous for its striking octagonal design and mysterious origins, it is one of Italy’s most fascinating medieval landmarks.

Continue to the enchanting town of Alberobello, another UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its unique trulli—traditional whitewashed stone houses with distinctive cone-shaped roofs. Upon arrival, enjoy a welcome drink before settling into your hotel.

Continue to the stunning whitewashed town of Ostuni, perched high above ancient olive groves overlooking the Adriatic coast. Enjoy free time to explore its winding laneways, browse local boutiques, enjoy lunch, and sample the region’s renowned olive oil.

After breakfast, depart Lecce and travel through the picturesque landscapes of the Murge Plateau and the beautiful Valle d’Itria. Your first stop is the elegant Baroque town of Martina Franca, where you’ll have time to explore its charming streets, historic churches and beautiful piazzas.

Next, visit a traditional Puglian masseria for a hands-on cooking experience. Learn to prepare regional favourites, including fresh orecchiette pasta and focaccia, before enjoying a delicious lunch featuring the dishes you’ve created, accompanied by local wines.

Please take the time to read and understand the booking terms and conditions prior to booking a trip with us.

Deposits and Payment Schedule

To join any of our captivating Luxury Women’s Tours (LWT) itineraries, a per-person deposit, tailored to your selected trip, is required to confirm and secure your reservation.

The final balance payment must be settled 90 days before your journey begins. If you book within this 90-day window, the full amount becomes due at the time of booking.

In case of cancellation more than 90 days prior to the trip’s start, a full refund is granted, with deductions for non-refundable supplier deposits and non-refundable flight expenses.

For cancellations made between 90 and 60 days before the trip starts, your land component deposits become non-refundable, while all other payments are refunded, with non-refundable supplier or flight charges deducted.

Cancellations occurring 59 days or fewer before the trip starts result in all land tour component payments, including the deposit, being non-refundable.

All flights are subject to airline terms and conditions.

Pricing

Published trip prices include all applicable taxes and are based on shared occupancy. Solo travelers are thoughtfully matched with roommates to avoid additional single supplement fees. Single supplements are available with a surcharge, subject to availability.

Please note that LWT is not responsible for fees related to currency exchange or charges imposed by your credit card company or bank for foreign currency transactions.

All Flight Booking Conditions

Be aware that terms, conditions, and cancellation fees imposed by flight carriers are applicable in accordance with the airline’s policies.

Cancellation by the Client

In case a Client needs to cancel their reservation, we request written notification sent to jamie@luxurywomenstours.com.au.

Upon receiving written confirmation of cancellation from LWT, your reserved spot on the trip will be released, and rebooking availability is not guaranteed.

Refund terms for client-initiated cancellations are as follows:

  • Over 90 days before the trip’s start: Full refund, with deductions for non-refundable supplier deposits and non-refundable flight expenses.
  • Cancellation between 90 and 60 days before the trip’s start: Land component deposits become non-refundable, with all other payments refunded, minus non-refundable supplier or flight charges.
  • Cancellations occurring 59 days or fewer before the trip starts result in all land tour component payments, including the deposit, being non-refundable.
  • All flights are subject to airline terms and conditions.

Credits

Credits are valid for use within the original year of the trip or the following calendar year, with a total validity period of 24 months from the date of issuance.

These credits can be transferred to another woman, who assumes responsibility for any outstanding balance payments and directly reimburses you for the deposit. However, the replacement participant must meet trip registration requirements and receive approval from LWT.

You can also apply your credits toward the final balance of another trip, provided the request is made at least 90 days before the trip’s start date. Additionally, you have the flexibility to transfer your credits to any other trip or cancel and reapply your credits as many times as needed before the 90-day mark before the trip date, all within the original credit expiry date. Please note that all credits are issued in Australian Dollars (AUD).

Cancellation of a Tour by Luxury Women’s Tours

Our trips are confirmed to depart with a minimum group size booked. LWT reserves the right to cancel any trip for any reason, though cancellations less than 60 days before departure are rare, except for Force Majeure or unforeseen circumstances beyond LWT’s control.

If LWT cancels a tour before the agreed departure date for reasons other than Force Majeure or the fault of the Client, you have the following options:

  • Choose a substitute tour of equivalent or higher price, paying the difference.
  • Opt for a substitute tour of lower price, receiving the difference in price as a refund.
  • Receive a full refund of all monies paid under the contract.

LWT is not responsible for incidental expenses or consequential losses incurred by the Client, such as visa fees, vaccinations, non-refundable flights or rail tickets, non-refundable parking, loss of earnings, or loss of enjoyment.
