As you soar through the skies, relish breathtaking views of one of the world’s largest inland deltas. Upon landing, a transfer will whisk you away to your accommodation at Camp Okavango, nestled on the secluded Nxaragha Island. This hidden gem, situated in the heart of the permanent Okavango Delta, promises an unmatched year-round water wilderness experience.

Seasoned professional guides lead water-based activities and bush walks, skillfully guiding guests through meandering, reed-lined waterways. Roam the expansive waterways aboard a modern motorboat or opt for a more serene exploration of the Okavango Delta in a traditional mokoro (dugout canoe).

A scenic flight brings you to Kasane, the gateway to Chobe National Park. As you descend, you’ll catch glimpses of the diverse landscapes below, a taste of what’s to come.

Touch down at Kasane Airport, where a warm welcome awaits you. A Chobe Game Lodge Driver/Guide will be there to greet you. From here, you’ll make your way to Chobe Game Lodge.

Nestled on the banks of the Chobe River within the renowned Chobe National Park, Chobe Game Lodge stands as the sole permanent game lodge in this exquisite location. Providing a selection of both land and water-based safaris, the lodge has elevated the safari experience by introducing four electric-powered game drive vehicles, ensuring a more immersive and carbon-emission-free adventure.

Meanwhile, riverside game viewing unfolds aboard the lodge’s complete fleet of solar-electric powered safari boats, facilitating silent safaris along Botswana’s iconic Chobe River. Your day commences with a delightful breakfast, preparing you for an unforgettable adventure. Today, you’ll immerse yourself in the grandeur of Victoria Falls.

The Smoke That Thunders: Victoria Falls, or “mosi oa tunya” (the smoke that thunders) in the local tongue, is situated in north-western Zimbabwe, where the Zambezi River forms the natural border with Zambia. The falls are a natural wonder, consisting of five distinct cascades, with four nestled in Zimbabwe and one in Zambia. The falls range in depth from 70 to 108 meters, and span an impressive 1,700 meters, making them the world’s largest by surface area. These falls are considered one of the “Seven Natural Wonders of the World.” As you explore, you’ll witness the spectacular sight of up to 550 million liters of water per minute gushing during the river’s peak flow. The falls have captivated visitors for generations, and, as David Livingstone once mused, “scenes so lovely must have been gazed on by angels in their flight.” The local people aptly call it the ‘smoke that thunders.’

You’ll embark on a guided tour of Victoria Falls, delving into its rich history and incredible geological features. Marvel at the immense curtain of water as it plummets into the gorge below. For a truly immersive experience, you can descend 73 stair steps into the base of the gorge, providing breathtaking perspectives of this natural wonder.

DAY 14: Friday 18th April 2025- Zimbabwe – Johannesburg (B)

Begin your day with a delightful breakfast at the lodge, savoring the flavors of a new day.

Today we depart Zimbabwe and head to Johannesburg, to begin our journey home.

Please note that the standard check-out time for your room is 10:00 AM. After check-out, the day unfolds at your leisure, offering the perfect opportunity for reflection, relaxation, and last-minute exploration.

As the day progresses, take your time to ensure your luggage is packed, and you have all your belongings in order.

At the appropriate moment, you will be smoothly transferred to the airport. Our team will ensure that your journey from Victoria Falls is as seamless as your arrival.

Upon arrival in Johannesburg, Free time to relax before your international flight home tomorrow.

Today marks the conclusion of your journey. After a restful night, savor your last breakfast in this beautiful setting.

As your departure time approaches, we’ll assist with your transfer to Johannesburg’s O.R. Tambo International Airport.
