DAY 2, WEDNESDAY, 27 MAY 2026: PORTO- WALKING TOUR (B)

Welcome to Porto, a city of timeless charm, where misty mornings, golden sunsets over the Douro River, and vibrant tiled streets create a magical atmosphere.

We begin the day with a guided walking tour through Porto’s historic center, starting at Santa Catarina, one of the city’s liveliest streets. We’ll pass by the iconic Bolhão Market, a hub of local life, before admiring the stunning azulejo panels at São Bento Station, one of the most beautiful train stations in the world.

Continuing through the city, we’ll see the Clérigos Tower (exterior) and enjoy priority access to the Lello Library, famed for its stunning architecture and its inspiration for Harry Potter.

For lunch, we recommend trying Francesinha, Porto’s signature sandwich—a hearty and delicious local specialty.

After lunch, enjoy a leisurely stroll through Ribeira, the city’s picturesque riverside quarter, lined with colorful buildings and lively cafés.

In the afternoon, we’ll visit a traditional wine cellar in Vila Nova de Gaia, where you’ll sample Port wine paired with cheese, learning about the region’s world-renowned winemaking heritage.

We’ll then return to the hotel, and the rest of the afternoon is yours to enjoy at your own pace.

This morning, immerse yourself in this rich tradition with a hands-on tile painting workshop (included), where you’ll learn the art of Portuguese tile-making and create your own unique piece to take home.

In the afternoon, enjoy a private tram tour, journeying along one of Porto’s most scenic routes. This charming ride takes you from the historic center to Jardim do Passeio Alegre, following the banks of the Douro River for a truly picturesque experience.

We’ll visit a prestigious Quinta (included), where you’ll explore the estate’s 75 hectares of vineyards, learn about the winemaking process, and soak in breathtaking views of the rolling hills.

Enjoy a delicious lunch at the Quinta, perfectly paired with their finest wines, offering a true taste of the Douro’s rich flavors.

After lunch, we’ll head to the docks for a scenic boat tour on the Douro River (included). Relax as we cruise past vineyard-clad hillsides, historic estates, and picturesque villages, experiencing one of the most famous and beautiful routes in Portugal’s wine country.

DAY 6, SUNDAY, 31 MAY 2026: ARMAMAR – VILAR SECO – COIMBRA (B, Snack)

This morning, experience the centuries-old tradition of Serra da Estrela cheese-making with a hands-on workshop at a Quinta in Povolide (included). Learn about the artisanal process behind Portugal’s most famous cheese, which has been crafted for over 800 years using traditional techniques.

After the workshop, enjoy a relaxing coffee break with a cheese board, fresh bread, coffee, and tea, savoring the rich flavors of this regional delicacy.

In the afternoon, we journey to Coimbra, a city steeped in history, often called the “City of Arts.” Coimbra has inspired poets and scholars for centuries, with its medieval streets, stunning architecture, and deep cultural heritage. DAY 7, MONDAY, 1 JUNE: COIMBRA – OBIDOS – LISBON (B)

We begin the day with a visit to the University of Coimbra (included, subject to availability), one of the oldest universities in Europe and a UNESCO World Heritage site. Explore its stunning historic buildings and enjoy panoramic views over the city from the hilltop.

Afterward, take a leisurely stroll through Coimbra’s charming city center, discovering its medieval streets, traditional shops, and vibrant atmosphere.

In the afternoon, we head to Óbidos, a fairytale-like medieval village enclosed within ancient castle walls. Wander through its labyrinth of cobblestone streets, lined with whitewashed houses, colorful flowered balconies, and charming squares.

While here, enjoy a taste of Ginjinha, a traditional Portuguese sour cherry liqueur, often served in a chocolate cup (included).

We then continue our journey to Lisbon, where we’ll settle into our hotel for the evening.

DAY 8, TUESDAY, 2 JUNE 2026: LISBON (B, Snack, D)

Welcome to Lisbon, one of Europe’s oldest and liveliest capitals, where history, culture, and modern vibrancy blend seamlessly.

We begin our day with a panoramic tour of the Belém district, a historic area deeply connected to Portugal’s Age of Discovery. Along the way, we’ll admire the Jerónimos Monastery (exterior), a masterpiece of Manueline architecture, followed by the iconic Belém Tower (exterior), a symbol of Portugal’s maritime past. We’ll also stop at the Padrão dos Descobrimentos, a striking monument dedicated to Portugal’s greatest explorers.

No visit to Belém is complete without tasting the famous pastel de Belém—a delicious custard tart that originated in this very neighborhood (included).

In the afternoon, we’ll explore Alcântara, a district that beautifully showcases Lisbon’s transformation over the years. Here, we’ll visit LX Factory, a once-industrial area that has evolved into a hub of art, creativity, and trendy cafés. Stroll through its unique shops, street art, and vibrant atmosphere.

Afterward, we’ll return to the hotel, where you can enjoy the rest of the afternoon at your leisure.

Later in the evening, we invite you to experience the soulful music of Portugal with a Fado Vadio Experience. This includes a walking tour through Lisbon’s historic neighborhoods, followed by a dinner of traditional Portuguese delicacies while listening to the heartfelt melodies of Fado, Portugal’s most iconic music genre.

DAY 9, WEDNESDAY, 3 JUNE 2026: LISBON (B)

Today, immerse yourself in the flavors of Portugal with a hands-on cooking class. We’ll start by visiting a local market, where you’ll learn how to select the freshest ingredients and discover the secrets behind Portuguese cuisine.

Next, step into the kitchen for a traditional Portuguese cooking class, where you’ll prepare a delicious meal inspired by classic recipes. Once the cooking is done, sit down and enjoy your homemade meal, paired with a selection of fine Portuguese wines (included).

After lunch, we’ll head to Restauradores, where you can experience the Elevador da Glória (ticket not included), Lisbon’s historic funicular, which takes you up to Bairro Alto. At the top, we’ll pause at the São Pedro de Alcântara Belvedere, offering one of the most stunning panoramic views of the city.

From here, we’ll take a walking tour of Bairro Alto, one of Lisbon’s most vibrant and historic neighborhoods. This lively area is a maze of charming alleyways, filled with traditional grocery stores, goldsmith workshops, taverns, and unique boutiques. Here, Lisbon’s old-world charm is alive—you’ll see laundry hanging from balconies, hear music drifting through the streets, and feel the energy of local life.

After soaking in the atmosphere, we’ll return to the hotel for a relaxing evening.

DAY 10, THURSDAY, 4 JUNE 2026: LISBON – SINTRA – CABO DA ROCA – CASCAIS – ESTORIL – LISBON (B)

Today, we set off for Sintra, a fairytale village known for its mountaintop castles, lush forests, and whimsical palaces. This enchanting destination feels like a page from a storybook, with its romantic architecture and stunning landscapes.

Our visit includes Monserrate Park and Palace (included), a breathtaking estate once used for orchards and farming, later transformed into an exotic botanical garden. Here, you’ll discover over 2,500 plant species from five continents, set among waterfalls, winding pathways, and intricate architectural details.

While in Sintra, don’t miss the chance to try a queijada, a traditional Portuguese tartlet and a local specialty (not included).

In the afternoon, we’ll head to Cabo da Roca, the westernmost point of mainland Europe. Perched 150 meters above the Atlantic Ocean, this dramatic viewpoint offers spectacular panoramic views over the Serra de Sintra and rugged coastline.

On our way back, enjoy a scenic coastal drive past the glamorous seaside towns of Cascais and Estoril, both known for their golden beaches, elegant promenades, and vibrant charm.

After a day of exploring, we’ll return to the hotel for a relaxing evening.

This morning, we will transfer you to the airport for your flight to Ponta Delgada, the vibrant capital of São Miguel Island, the largest of the Azores archipelago.

Prepare to embark on the next chapter of your journey, where dramatic volcanic landscapes, lush greenery, and unique cultural experiences await.

DAY 12, SATURDAY, 6 JUNE 2026: PONTA DELGADA – PICO DO FERRO VIEWPOINT – LAGOA DAS FURNAS – TERRA NOSTRA BOTANICAL PARK – VILA FRANCA DO CAMPO – PONTA DELGADA (B,L)

Today, we embark on a journey to Furnas, a remarkable geothermal wonderland, where bubbling hot springs and volcanic activity create a breathtaking natural setting.

Our first stop is the Gorreana Tea Plantation, the oldest and only tea plantation in Europe. Here, you’ll witness the traditional tea-making process and enjoy a freshly brewed tea tasting (included).

Next, we visit the Pico do Ferro Viewpoint, offering a breathtaking panoramic view of the Furnas Valley, home to one of the island’s oldest volcanic craters and the stunning Lagoa das Furnas.

For lunch, we’ll enjoy a truly unique culinary experience—Cozido à Portuguesa, a traditional Portuguese stew slow-cooked underground using geothermal heat from the Furnas volcano. The meal, consisting of meat, potatoes, and vegetables, is left to simmer for five hours, absorbing the earth’s natural warmth and rich flavors.

After lunch, we explore the Terra Nostra Botanical Park (included), one of the most beautiful 18th-century gardens in the world. Take a guided stroll through its lush landscapes, featuring exotic plant species from around the globe.

For the ultimate relaxation, take a dip in the park’s iron-rich thermal waters, known for their healing and rejuvenating properties—a perfect way to unwind amidst nature.

On our way back to Ponta Delgada, we stop at Vila Franca do Campo, the island’s first capital, where you’ll have the chance to try the famous Queijadas de Vila Franca (not included), a delightful local pastry.

We then return to Ponta Delgada for a restful evening.

This morning, we journey to Lagoa do Fogo, a breathtaking lagoon nestled in the crater of an extinct volcano at the heart of São Miguel. Surrounded by untouched landscapes, crystal-clear waters, and a secluded white-sand peninsula, this is one of the most spectacular natural sights in the Azores.

From there, we descend to Ribeira Grande, a historic town known for its beautiful 17th- and 18th-century Baroque architecture. While exploring, we’ll visit Licores Ferreira, a local liqueur factory where you can sample their famous Passion Fruit Liqueur (included).

Lunch on your terms.

In the afternoon, we head to the Vista do Rei Viewpoint, where you’ll be greeted with a stunning panoramic view over the famous Green and Blue Lagoons, an extraordinary sight at the bottom of a massive volcanic crater.

As we descend into the crater, we’ll pause at the Santiago Viewpoint to admire yet another striking lagoon before continuing to the village of Sete Cidades, where you’ll see charming traditional Azorean homes and experience the laid-back island lifestyle.

To end the day, we’ll visit one of the Azores’ unique pineapple plantations, where pineapples are grown exclusively in greenhouses—a fascinating process found nowhere else in the world. Here, you’ll have the chance to taste the region’s delicious pineapple liqueur (not included).

We then return to Ponta Delgada for a relaxing evening.

DAY 14, MONDAY, 8 JUNE 2026: PONTA DELGADA – PONTA DELGADA AIRPORT – HORTA AIRPORT – HORTA (B)

Early this morning, we transfer you to the airport for your flight to Faial Island (flight not included), famously known as the “Blue Island” due to its breathtaking landscapes covered in blooming hydrangeas. This island is also a popular haven for yachtsmen, welcoming sailors from all over the world.

Upon arrival, we transfer you to your hotel in Horta, the island’s charming capital.

In the afternoon, we begin our exploration at Espalamaca, a stunning viewpoint offering panoramic views of the Azores’ central islands, including Pico, São Jorge, and Graciosa.

Continuing along the mountain road, we travel through the scenic Flamengos Valley, eventually reaching Caldeira, the island’s highest point. This massive volcanic crater, estimated to be around 400,000 years old, offers an awe-inspiring glimpse into Faial’s geological history.

Next, we head north to Capelinhos, the site of the most recent volcanic eruption in the Azores, which dramatically altered the landscape in 1957. Here, we visit the Capelinhos Volcano Interpretation Center (included), an immersive museum that tells the story of the eruption and its impact on the island.

On our return, enjoy more spectacular coastal and valley views as we make our way back to Horta for a relaxing evening.

DAY 15, TUESDAY, 9 JUNE 2026: HORTA – PICO – HORTA (B,D)

Today we will departure from Horta by boat to the island of Pico (included).

In front the island of Faial, we have Pico, the second largest island in the Azores. Famous for its gigantic volcano  mountain that rises from the sea, occupying most of the island’s territory.

Arriving in Pico, we will visit Cachorro and São Roque. After this, we will visit the Whaling Museum in Lages (included), to get to know all about one of the most important activities in the history of the island.

We will drive to Madalena to visit the local church. Return to Faial by boat.

Later, our group Farewell Dinner.

DAY 16, WEDNESDAY, 10 JUNE 206: HORTA – HORTA AIRPORT(B)

Deposits and Payment Schedule

To join any of our captivating Luxury Women’s Tours (LWT) itineraries, a per-person deposit, tailored to your selected trip, is required to confirm and secure your reservation.

The final balance payment must be settled 90 days before your journey begins. If you book within this 90-day window, the full amount becomes due at the time of booking.

In case of cancellation more than 90 days prior to the trip’s start, a full refund is granted, with deductions for non-refundable supplier deposits and non-refundable flight expenses.

For cancellations made between 90 and 60 days before the trip starts, your land component deposits become non-refundable, while all other payments are refunded, with non-refundable supplier or flight charges deducted.

Cancellations occurring 59 days or fewer before the trip starts result in all land tour component payments, including the deposit, being non-refundable.

All flights are subject to airline terms and conditions.

Pricing

Published trip prices include all applicable taxes and are based on shared occupancy. Solo travelers are thoughtfully matched with roommates to avoid additional single supplement fees. Single supplements are available with a surcharge, subject to availability.

Be aware that terms, conditions, and cancellation fees imposed by flight carriers are applicable in accordance with the airline’s policies.

Cancellation by the Client

In case a Client needs to cancel their reservation, we request written notification sent to jamie@luxurywomenstours.com.au.

Upon receiving written confirmation of cancellation from LWT, your reserved spot on the trip will be released, and rebooking availability is not guaranteed.

Refund terms for client-initiated cancellations are as follows:

  • Over 90 days before the trip’s start: Full refund, with deductions for non-refundable supplier deposits and non-refundable flight expenses.
  • Cancellation between 90 and 60 days before the trip’s start: Land component deposits become non-refundable, with all other payments refunded, minus non-refundable supplier or flight charges.
  • Cancellations 59 days or fewer before the trip’s start: All land tour component payments, including the deposit, are non-refundable.

Credits

Credits are valid for use within the original year of the trip or the following calendar year, with a total validity period of 24 months from the date of issuance.

These credits can be transferred to another woman, who assumes responsibility for any outstanding balance payments and directly reimburses you for the deposit. However, the replacement participant must meet trip registration requirements and receive approval from LWT.

You can also apply your credits toward the final balance of another trip, provided the request is made at least 90 days before the trip’s start date. Additionally, you have the flexibility to transfer your credits to any other trip or cancel and reapply your credits as many times as needed before the 90-day mark before the trip date, all within the original credit expiry date. Please note that all credits are issued in Australian Dollars (AUD).

Cancellation of a Tour by Luxury Women’s Tours

Our trips are confirmed to depart with a minimum group size booked. LWT reserves the right to cancel any trip for any reason, though cancellations less than 60 days before departure are rare, except for Force Majeure or unforeseen circumstances beyond LWT’s control.

If LWT cancels a tour before the agreed departure date for reasons other than Force Majeure or the fault of the Client, you have the following options:

  • Choose a substitute tour of equivalent or higher price, paying the difference.
  • Opt for a substitute tour of lower price, receiving the difference in price as a refund.
  • Receive a full refund of all monies paid under the contract.

LWT is not responsible for incidental expenses or consequential losses incurred by the Client, such as visa fees, vaccinations, non-refundable flights or rail tickets, non-refundable parking, loss of earnings, or loss of enjoyment.
