Participants must be comfortable walking for several hours on uneven, forested terrain during the gorilla trek. The trek can range from 1 to 6 hours depending on the gorilla family’s location and involves steep, muddy paths through dense rainforest. A moderate level of fitness and mobility is required. Walking sticks and porter assistance are available and highly recommended.

Welcome to Uganda! Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you’ll be warmly greeted and transferred to your elegant lakeside accommodation at the Protea Hotel Entebbe. Nestled on the shores of Lake Victoria, this peaceful retreat offers a comfortable and scenic start to your East African journey.
Settle in and take some time to relax before we come together for a welcome dinner at the hotel. It’s the perfect chance to get to know your fellow travellers and ease into the rhythm of safari life with delicious cuisine and warm Ugandan hospitality.

After breakfast, we transfer to Entebbe Airport for your scenic scheduled flight to Kihihi Airstrip. From here, we journey by road into the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park—a remote and untamed region famous for its rare tree-climbing lions and diverse wildlife.
Arriving at Ishasha Wilderness Tented Camp, you’ll settle into your beautifully appointed safari tent, set along the Ntungwe River. This afternoon, we set off on our first game drive through the golden savannah, keeping an eye out for elephants, buffalos, and the elusive lions resting in fig trees.
As the sun begins to set, we’ll gather for sundowner drinks in the bush—a truly magical safari tradition—before returning to camp for a delicious dinner under the stars.

Wake up to the sounds of the wild and begin your day with a memorable bush breakfast in the heart of Queen Elizabeth National Park. With the mist lifting over the savannah, we’ll enjoy a fresh breakfast surrounded by nature—an unforgettable way to start the day.
Afterwards, we head out on a morning game drive in search of more wildlife, with chances to spot Uganda kob, hyenas, and perhaps a leopard lounging in the trees. Return to camp for a relaxed lunch and some downtime before heading out again for a late afternoon safari.
As dusk settles across the park, take in the golden glow of the landscape before another peaceful evening back at camp.

After a leisurely breakfast, we depart Ishasha and travel by road to the Buhoma sector of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. This scenic drive (2-3 hours) takes us through rolling hills and rural villages, with glimpses of Uganda’s vibrant everyday life along the way.
Upon arrival, we check in to Buhoma Lodge—your serene forest retreat perched on the edge of the jungle. The rest of the afternoon is yours to relax and soak up the atmosphere. Enjoy sweeping views of the forest canopy from your private verandah or simply unwind by the fireplace with a cup of locally grown tea.
Tomorrow, you’ll take part in one of the most extraordinary wildlife experiences on earth.

Today is the highlight of your journey—an awe-inspiring trek into the rainforest to encounter a family of wild mountain gorillas.
After an early breakfast, we’ll transfer to the park headquarters for a briefing with your expert guide and tracking team. Trekking through Bwindi’s dense jungle can take anywhere from 1 to 6 hours depending on the gorillas’ location, and the terrain may be steep and muddy—but every step is worth it.
When you come face to face with these magnificent creatures, you’ll have one magical hour to observe their behaviour up close—watching them eat, play, and interact in their natural habitat. It’s a powerful and emotional experience you’ll never forget.
Return to the lodge this afternoon for a well-earned rest and a celebratory dinner with the group.

For all advertised LWT itineraries and dates, a trip-specific deposit amount per person required to confirm and secure your booking.
Final balance payment is due 90 days before the trip start date.
If your booking is made within 90 days of the trip start date then the full amount is payable at the time of booking.
Full Refund if you cancel more than 90 days prior to the trip start date.

Trip prices include all applicable taxes.
Trip prices are based on shared occupancy. Single travelers will be assigned a roommate by LWT for no extra single supplement fee.
LWT is not responsible for any fees incurred due to currency exchange or fees charged by your credit card/bank for processing funds in any currency.

After written confirmation of the cancellation by LWT, your spot on the trip will be released immediately and is not guaranteed to be available for rebooking.

CREDITS
Credits are valid to use to rebook for the year of the original trip or the next calendar year Valid for 24 months from issue
Credit may be transferred to another woman. You may find another woman to take your spot. She pays you directly for the deposit and assumes responsibility for any outstanding balance payments. The replacement participant must meet trip registration requirements and be approved to join the trip by LWT.
Credits may be used towards the final balance of another trip, applied at 90 days in advance of the trip start date. Credit may be transferred to any other trip, and you may cancel and reapply your credit as many times as you like, before 90 days in advance of the trip date, within the original credit expiry date.

CANCELLATION OF A TOUR BY LUXURY WOMEN’S TOURS
Our trips are confirmed to depart when they have a minimum group size booked. LWT reserves the right to cancel any trip for any reason, but will rarely cancel a tour less than 60 days before departure except for Force Majeure, unusual or unforeseen circumstances outside LWTs control.
When a tour is cancelled by LWT before the agreed date of departure for any reason other than Force Majeure or the fault of the Client, the Client can either:
- Take a substitute tour of equivalent or higher price if LWT is able and willing to offer such a substitute and pay any difference in price between the price of the tour originally purchased and that of the superior substitute tour; or
- Take a substitute tour of lower price if LWT is able and willing to offer one and to recover from LWT the difference in price between the tour originally purchased and that of the substitute tour; or
- Receive a full refund of all monies paid under the contract as soon as possible.
LWT is not responsible for any incidental expenses or consequential losses that the Client may have incurred as a result of the booking such as visas, vaccinations, non-refundable flights or rail, non-refundable car parking or other fees, loss of earnings, or loss of enjoyment, etc.
If the Client is offered a refund but requests an alternative tour of a higher value than that originally booked, then the Client must pay the difference in price.
Where, after departure, a significant element of the trip contracted for cannot be provided, LWT will make suitable alternative arrangements for the continuation of the trip.

Altitude: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is located at a high altitude (~1,200 to 2,600 metres). Guests should take it easy on arrival and stay well hydrated.

Luggage Limits: Due to internal flights, soft-sided luggage is required, with a maximum weight of 15kg (33 lbs) including hand luggage. Excess baggage can be stored in Entebbe.
