Day 1 – Tuesday 18th November 2025 – Arrival in Bangkok (D)
On arrival in Bangkok, make our way to the Novotel Suvarnabhumi airport hotel, located within the Bangkok international airport.  Check in and relax until our welcome dinner later.

Day 2 – Wednesday 19th November 2025 – Bangkok to Paro Bhutan (B, D)

After breakfast, we’ll make our way across to the Bangkok international departures for our flight to Paro, Bhutan. (flight cost included)

Upon arrival at Paro International Airport, complete immigration formalities and meet our guide and driver at the arrivals lounge. After a traditional khaddar welcome, you will embark on a scenic 1.5-hour drive to Thimphu, following the Paro and Thimphu rivers through picturesque villages like Bondey, Shaba, and Isina. Along the way, stop at Tachogang Lhakhang for a leg stretch and enjoy the views. Upon reaching Thimphu, you will settle into your accommodations and later enjoy a cultural program. Day 3 – Thursday 20th November 2025- Thimphu sightseeing (B,L,D)

Explore Thimphu, Bhutan’s vibrant capital, renowned for its blend of modernity and tradition. This bustling city serves as the country’s center of commerce, religion, and government while maintaining its unique cultural identity. Notably, Thimphu is known as the world’s only city without traffic lights.

Begin your day with a visit to Simply Bhutan, a living museum and photo studio that offers an insightful introduction to Bhutanese culture and supports youth development programs. Next, delve into the rich textile heritage at the National Textile Museum, where you can admire traditional weaving techniques and local dress. Experience the art of traditional paper-making at the Jungshi Paper Factory, which produces Bhutanese Deh-sho paper using age-old methods. Conclude with a visit to the Buddha Dordenma, a majestic statue overlooking the Thimphu valley.

If time allows, enjoy a leisurely walk through the city, taking in its modern amenities and unique local handicrafts. Overnight in Thimphu.

Day 4 – Friday 21st November 2025 – Thimphu to Punakha (3 Hrs) (B,L,D)

Embark on a scenic drive from Thimphu to Punakha, crossing the Dochula Pass, renowned for its breathtaking 180-degree views of the Great Himalayan Mountain range.

Enjoy a leisurely stop at Dochula to take in the stunning vistas and visit the 108 Chortens.

Descend through the picturesque landscape to Wangdue and Punakha, known for its warmer climate.

Continue to Chimi Lhakhang, the famed Temple of Fertility, nestled among the scenic village of Mesina. Finally, explore the majestic Punakha Dzong, built in 1637 and situated at the confluence of the Phochu and Mochu rivers. This stunning fortress, still serving as the winter residence of Bhutan’s Je-Khenpo, offers a glimpse into Bhutan’s historical and architectural grandeur.

Day 5 – Saturday 22nd November 2025 – Punakha sightseeing (B,L,D)

Punakha, often regarded as Bhutan’s second capital and home to the country’s most impressive dzong, offers a serene retreat for nature enthusiasts. This picturesque valley, set against the backdrop of the majestic Himalayas, invites you to enjoy the tranquil sounds of the Mo Chhu and Po Chhu rivers.

Begin your exploration with a hike to the Khamsum Yulley Namgyal Chorten, a stunning temple perched on a ridge above the valley, offering breathtaking views of the Punakha Valley and Mochu River.

Next, cross the Punakha Suspension Bridge, one of Bhutan’s longest, which links the Dzong with the traditional villages of Shengana, Samdingkha, and Wangkha, where you can experience local life and craftsmanship.

Conclude your visit with a trip to the Sangchhen Dorji Lhuendrup Nunnery, a serene Buddhist college and meditation center, nestled above Wolakha. Enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and the warm welcome of the nunnery’s community.

Day 6 – Sunday 23rd November 2025- Punakha to Paro (3 hrs drive) (B,L,D)

As we bid farewell to the enchanting Punakha Valley, we embark on a scenic drive back to Paro, retracing our route through Thimphu and crossing the Dochula Pass once more. This journey offers a refreshing opportunity to savor the stunning Himalayan vistas from different perspectives.

Upon arrival in Paro, explore the 17th-century Paro Dzong, known as the ‘Fortress on a Heap of Jewels.’ Renowned for its impressive Bhutanese architecture, the dzong dominates the landscape and serves as the district’s administrative center.

Next, visit the Ta Dzong, a unique national museum originally built in 1649 as a watchtower for Paro Dzong. Renowned for its extensive collection of historical artifacts, the museum offers an insightful glimpse into Bhutan’s rich heritage.

Day 7 – Monday 24th November 2025 -Tigers Nest Hike – Paro Sightseeing (B,L,D)

Paro, renowned for its lush, fertile rice fields and the crystalline Paro River winding through the valley, offers a mix of historical charm and modern luxury.

The highlight of Paro is the iconic Taktsang Monastery, also known as the Tiger’s Nest Temple. Perched dramatically on a sheer cliff 900 meters above the valley, Taktsang is one of Bhutan’s most revered religious sites.

Enjoy the optional trek to the Tigers Nest today.

The hike to Taktsang Monastery, also known as the Tiger’s Nest, is an unforgettable journey through Bhutan’s stunning landscapes. Starting from the valley floor, the trail winds its way up a steep, well-trodden path through a dense forest of pine trees, adorned with colorful prayer flags fluttering in the breeze. As you ascend, panoramic views of the Paro Valley unfold, providing ample opportunities to rest and soak in the beauty. Midway, a charming cafeteria offers a perfect spot to pause and refresh. The final stretch involves a series of stone steps leading to the monastery, which clings precariously to a sheer cliff face 900 meters above the valley floor. The sense of achievement upon reaching the top, combined with the serene and spiritual atmosphere of the monastery, makes this hike a truly transformative experience.

Day 8 – Tuesday 25th November 2025 – Paro sightseeing or relax (B,L,D)

Explore the tiny town of Paro, which, despite its size, offers a wealth of experiences. Wander through authentic handicraft shops showcasing Bhutan-made products and souvenirs, browse grocery stores and imported garment shops, and savor the flavors at the many small local restaurants. Alternatively, choose to take the day to relax at your hotel, soaking in the serene atmosphere of this charming town.

Day 9 – Wednesday 26th November 2025 – Paro – Bangkok (B)

Today after breakfast, we prepare to depart Paro and head back to Bangkok by flight. (flight cost included)

Check out and transfer to the Paro international airport.

On arrival in Bangkok, we make our way to the Novotel Suvarnabhumi airport hotel for overnight.

Day 10 – Thursday 27th November 2025 – Bangkok – End of service (B,L,D)

Today marks the end of our Bhutan tour. After breakfast, make your way to Paro International Airport for your flight home or onward travels.

Terms and Conditions of booking

Please take the time to read and understand the booking terms and conditions prior to booking a trip with us.

Deposits and Payment Schedule

To join any of our captivating Luxury Women’s Tours (LWT) itineraries, a per-person deposit, tailored to your selected trip, is required to confirm and secure your reservation.

The final balance payment must be settled 90 days before your journey begins. If you book within this 90-day window, the full amount becomes due at the time of booking.

In case of cancellation more than 90 days prior to the trip’s start, a full refund is granted, with deductions for non-refundable supplier deposits and non-refundable flight expenses.

For cancellations made between 90 and 60 days before the trip starts, your land component deposits become non-refundable, while all other payments are refunded, with non-refundable supplier or flight charges deducted.

Cancellations occurring 59 days or fewer before the trip starts result in all land tour component payments, including the deposit, being non-refundable.

All flights are subject to airline terms and conditions.

Pricing

Published trip prices include all applicable taxes and are based on shared occupancy. Solo travelers are thoughtfully matched with roommates to avoid additional single supplement fees. Single supplements are available with a surcharge, subject to availability.

Please note that LWT is not responsible for fees related to currency exchange or charges imposed by your credit card company or bank for foreign currency transactions.

All Flight Booking Conditions

Be aware that terms, conditions, and cancellation fees imposed by flight carriers are applicable in accordance with the airline’s policies.

Cancellation by the Client

In case a Client needs to cancel their reservation, we request written notification sent to jamie@luxurywomenstours.com.au.

Upon receiving written confirmation of cancellation from LWT, your reserved spot on the trip will be released, and rebooking availability is not guaranteed.

Refund terms for client-initiated cancellations are as follows:

  • Over 90 days before the trip’s start: Full refund, with deductions for non-refundable supplier deposits and non-refundable flight expenses.
  • Cancellation between 90 and 60 days before the trip’s start: Land component deposits become non-refundable, with all other payments refunded, minus non-refundable supplier or flight charges.
  • Cancellations occurring 59 days or fewer before the trip starts result in all land tour component payments, including the deposit, being non-refundable.
  • All flights are subject to airline terms and conditions.

Credits

Credits are valid for use within the original year of the trip or the following calendar year, with a total validity period of 24 months from the date of issuance.

These credits can be transferred to another woman, who assumes responsibility for any outstanding balance payments and directly reimburses you for the deposit. However, the replacement participant must meet trip registration requirements and receive approval from LWT.

You can also apply your credits toward the final balance of another trip, provided the request is made at least 90 days before the trip’s start date. Additionally, you have the flexibility to transfer your credits to any other trip or cancel and reapply your credits as many times as needed before the 90-day mark before the trip date, all within the original credit expiry date. Please note that all credits are issued in Australian Dollars (AUD).

Cancellation of a Tour by Luxury Women’s Tours

Our trips are confirmed to depart with a minimum group size booked. LWT reserves the right to cancel any trip for any reason, though cancellations less than 60 days before departure are rare, except for Force Majeure or unforeseen circumstances beyond LWT’s control.

If LWT cancels a tour before the agreed departure date for reasons other than Force Majeure or the fault of the Client, you have the following options:

  • Choose a substitute tour of equivalent or higher price, paying the difference.
  • Opt for a substitute tour of lower price, receiving the difference in price as a refund.
  • Receive a full refund of all monies paid under the contract.

LWT is not responsible for incidental expenses or consequential losses incurred by the Client, such as visa fees, vaccinations, non-refundable flights or rail tickets, non-refundable parking, loss of earnings, or loss of enjoyment.
