After breakfast, check out and transfer to the airport for onward flight to Puerto Maldonado.
Arrive in Puerto Maldonado, the capital of Madre de Dios, and join a 1-hour bus and a 2.5-boat journey to the lodge. As we cross the confluence with the Malinowski River, we will leave the final traces of human habitation behind to get to Tambopata Research Center – a spacious boutique eco-lodge in the heart of the National Reserve of Tambopata. Its the only lodge inside the reserve in front to the Bahuaja Sonene National Park.

Enjoy a full breakfast before departure. Afterwards begin the boat ride to the port and later bus ride to the airport to take the flight to Cusco.
Arrive in the famous city of Cusco and transfer to the hotel in Urubamba.
Nestled at an altitude of approximately 2870 meters above sea level, Urubamba offers a pleasant climate, ideal for acclimatizing to the elevation and ensuring a comfortable stay.
Spend the rest of the afternoon at your leisure.

Begin your day with a hearty breakfast at your hotel before embarking on a journey through the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Your first stop is the charming village of Pisac, renowned for its vibrant market and impressive Inca ruins. Stroll through the market, where local artisans sell handcrafted textiles, pottery, and jewelry. Then, head up to the Pisac ruins, perched on a hilltop with panoramic views of the valley. Explore the ancient agricultural terraces and ceremonial sites with your guide.
Next, you’ll visit the Wayra Ranch for a delightful lunch accompanied by a show of Peruvian Paso horses, known for their smooth gait and elegant demeanor. Enjoy traditional Andean cuisine while watching these graceful animals perform.
In the afternoon, continue to Ollantaytambo, a well-preserved Inca town with a massive fortress that dominates the landscape. Climb the stone terraces to the top of the fortress for a breathtaking view of the surrounding area. Learn about the historical significance of this site, which served as both a temple and a strategic military point.
As the day comes to a close, transfer to the Ollantaytambo train station for your journey to Aguas Calientes, the town at the foot of Machu Picchu. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and enjoy a relaxing dinner as you prepare for your visit to the iconic Inca citadel the following day.

Rise early to catch the first bus to Machu Picchu, ensuring you arrive at the site as it opens and before the crowds. As you enter the citadel, the morning mist often shrouds the ruins, adding to the mystical ambiance. Your guide will take you on an in-depth tour of the site, covering key areas such as the Main Square, the Circular Tower, the Sacred Solar Clock (Intihuatana), the Royal Quarters, and the Temple of the Three Windows.
Machu Picchu, known as the “Lost City of the Incas,” is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. It was rediscovered by Hiram Bingham in 1911 and is believed to have been a royal estate or sacred religious site for Inca leaders.
After the guided tour, you’ll have free time to explore the ruins independently. You may choose to hike to the Sun Gate (Inti Punku) for a classic view of Machu Picchu or venture to the Inca Bridge, an ancient engineering marvel.

After breakfast, embark on a guided tour of Cusco, starting with the Koricancha Temple, also known as the Temple of the Sun. This was one of the most important temples in the Inca Empire, and its walls were once covered in gold.
Next, visit the Cathedral of Cusco, located on the Plaza de Armas. The cathedral is a stunning example of colonial architecture and houses an impressive collection of art, including the famous painting of the Last Supper with a guinea pig.
Continue to the archaeological sites surrounding Cusco, including Sacsayhuaman, a fortress with massive stone walls, Qenqo, a site of carved rocks and underground chambers, Puca Pucara, a military ruin, and Tambomachay, a ceremonial site known as the “Bath of the Inca.”
In the evening, enjoy a special dinner at a local restaurant, where you can sample traditional Andean dishes while watching a folkloric dance performance. This is a wonderful opportunity to experience the rich cultural heritage of the region.

After breakfast, you’ll be transferred to the train station for your journey from Cusco to Puno, aboard the luxurious Andean Explorer. This train ride is an unforgettable experience, taking you across the Altiplano, the high Andean plateau, with its breathtaking landscapes of rolling hills, snow-capped peaks, and traditional villages.
Enjoy a gourmet lunch on board as you take in the stunning views. The train also offers observation cars, allowing you to step outside and fully immerse yourself in the natural beauty of the region.
Arrive in Puno, located on the shores of Lake Titicaca, in the early evening. Transfer to your hotel for check-in and relax after your day of travel.

At 7:00 am pick up and transfer to the port to embark on a fully equipped speedboat with on board service to head to Taquile Island. Disembarking at a secluded part of the island, explore a scenic and less touristy area of Taquile Island (exclusive). Enjoy a pristine sandy beach where you will have plenty of time to relax and feel the serenity of Lake Titicaca. Then, hike along a pre-Inca trail with spectacular landscapes of the island, visiting families of weavers to learn about their textile art and symbolism. In 2005, “Taquile and its Textile Art” were proclaimed “Masterpieces of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity” by UNESCO.
After 3 hours on Taquile, leave the island for the short 25-minute journey to the community of Santa Maria-Llachon, on the tip of the Capachica Peninsula. This is a picturesque off the beaten track destination. Be welcomed by the small Quechua speaking community and introduced to an intensive cultural experience, observing the traditions of the community and participating in an ancient ceremony to learn about their magical world.
Then experience the preparation of “Pachamanca”, a traditional way of cooking meat, fish and potatoes using underground ovens, and one of the main dishes of Peruvian cuisine. Enjoy these delicacies in a small, but scenic restaurant. For the more adventurous there is an optional kayak along the coast of Llachon. After lunch, leave Santa Maria and 35 minutes later arrive at a remote area of the National Reserve of Lake Titicaca to explore Uros Ccapi. These are the last authentic floating islands, less commercial and little visited. The Uros are descendants of one of the oldest cultures in South America. There are optional tours in reed boats before we depart back to Puno at 15:25 pm.
On arrival back into Puno at 16:30pm, transfer back to hotel. Later, enjoy our farewell dinner.

Enjoy your final breakfast in Puno before checking out of your Hotel . You’ll be transferred to the airport for your flight back to Lima. For all advertised LWT itineraries and dates, a trip-specific deposit amount per person required to confirm and secure your booking.
Final balance payment is due 90 days before the trip start date.
If your booking is made within 90 days of the trip start date then the full amount is payable at the time of booking.
Full Refund if you cancel more than 90 days prior to the trip start date.
Deposits become credits if you cancel your spot (in writing) between 90-60 days before the trip start date. All other payments will be refunded.
Cancellations 59 days or less before commencement: All payments will convert to a credit, including deposit: credit must be used with 24 months
Less than 30 days: No refunds or credits

Trip prices are based on shared occupancy. Single travelers will be assigned a roommate by LWT for no extra single supplement fee.
LWT is not responsible for any fees incurred due to currency exchange or fees charged by your credit card/bank for processing funds in any currency.

After written confirmation of the cancellation by LWT, your spot on the trip will be released immediately and is not guaranteed to be available for rebooking.
Refund terms if cancelled by the client:
Over 90 days before commencement: Full Refund
• 90 days to 60 days before commencement: Deposit will turn into a credit and all other payments refunded*
• 59 days to 30 days before commencement: All payments will convert to a credit, including deposit: credit must be used with 24 months
• Less than 30 days: No refunds or credits

Credits are valid to use to rebook for the year of the original trip or the next calendar year Valid for 24 months from issue
Credit may be transferred to another woman. You may find another woman to take your spot. She pays you directly for the deposit and assumes responsibility for any outstanding balance payments. The replacement participant must meet trip registration requirements and be approved to join the trip by LWT.
Credits may be used towards the final balance of another trip, applied at 90 days in advance of the trip start date. Credit may be transferred to any other trip, and you may cancel and reapply your credit as many times as you like, before 90 days in advance of the trip date, within the original credit expiry date.

CANCELLATION OF A TOUR BY LUXURY WOMEN’S TOURS
Our trips are confirmed to depart when they have a minimum group size booked. LWT reserves the right to cancel any trip for any reason, but will rarely cancel a tour less than 60 days before departure except for Force Majeure, unusual or unforeseen circumstances outside LWTs control.
When a tour is cancelled by LWT before the agreed date of departure for any reason other than Force Majeure or the fault of the Client, the Client can either:
- Take a substitute tour of equivalent or higher price if LWT is able and willing to offer such a substitute and pay any difference in price between the price of the tour originally purchased and that of the superior substitute tour; or
- Take a substitute tour of lower price if LWT is able and willing to offer one and to recover from LWT the difference in price between the tour originally purchased and that of the substitute tour; or
- Receive a full refund of all monies paid under the contract as soon as possible.
LWT is not responsible for any incidental expenses or consequential losses that the Client may have incurred as a result of the booking such as visas, vaccinations, non-refundable flights or rail, non-refundable car parking or other fees, loss of earnings, or loss of enjoyment, etc.
If the Client is offered a refund but requests an alternative tour of a higher value than that originally booked, then the Client must pay the difference in price.
Where, after departure, a significant element of the trip contracted for cannot be provided, LWT will make suitable alternative arrangements for the continuation of the trip.
